First night in Jackson and decided to try this place. Our server Paulina was friendly, informative and attentive. We skipped the starters but a nearby table ordered the wedge salad and it looked great. We ordered the rib eye, bison, and chicken with mushrooms and green beans as sides. Note: they do not have a kids menu but have burger, mac and cheese, and chicken as items kids may like so that’s why we got the chicken. Of course my 9 yo decided he liked our bison and rib eye better. We also tried the warm brownie with peanut butter mascarpone . Food was great but we especially appreciated the attentive service – water glasses were never less than half full, plates we cleared promptly. It was great and I would come back here.

Came here for my birthday dinner one of the nights we spent in Jackson and it was an experience to say the least. First steak we received was terrible, way overdone, and we waited a long time to receive it but Chris, after having a conversation, was completely helpful in trying to make the situation better. I will say our server (I won’t mention his name) wasn’t the best in helping nor in attending us but the manager there was great. So were the bussers, one even had a conversation with us and made us feel more comfortable! The manager gave us 2 ribeyes and that was some of the best steak! Those ribeyes definitely made up for it and the birthday dessert did too! It was amazing!!

Putting the PERFECTLY cooked (temp, flavor, crust, etc.) ribeye aside, the must-get here is the Elk Tenderloin.

Truthfully this place is closer to a 4 star. However, due to a string of bad experiences at other high end steak houses I’m giving this one 5 stars.

Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Side dishes were tasty. But sadly the steak did not live up to the restaurants lofty title. We ordered a porterhouse for my wife and I to share. I’m usually a medium rare kind of guy, but my wife prefers medium, so we ordered medium. When the steak arrived it was well done throughout except the very center by the bone was just a bit pink. I never do this, but as the steak was expensive I sent it back. I reordered it medium rare to compensate. I received a very rare inedible steak. I clearly wasn’t going to get a steak for dinner, so I asked for the check. Management was great, they comped the meal and drinks. We left a generous tip for the waitress.

The steakhouse servers only burgers and sandwiches during lunch time. Ordered bison burger for myself, and it was very dry and tasteless. I think cardboard taste better. Funny thing is my wife’s salad and portobello sandwich was tasted good. How funny is it that the steakhouse cooks horrible burgers, but vegetable dishes are good? Trying their lunch menu, I don’t even try their dinner menu next time. You can’t trust all the reviews. The restaurant locates basement of Cowboy bar, and my phone has poor reception down there. I asked my server for their guest wifi password, and he gave me several passwords. None of them worked, so I ended up running upstairs for asking password to the bar.

Had a wonderful dinner experience at this restaurant. Our family was seated quickly without reservations and served promptly. The food options were all delicious and so were the desserts. Also great to be able to walk upstairs to the bar.

Don’t let the high reviews fool you. Very overpriced, average to mediocre food. We ordered steaks medium and they needed to go back to the kitchen twice for being too rare. It’s wild that they didn’t know how to cook steaks properly when they were $44 each with no sides. Lots of people packed in a small room in a restaurant that attracts drunk and loud people. Our waitress was wonderful but everything else was honestly just okay. Consider elsewhere.

Most memorable experience our family has had in a long time! Walking down the stairs to the lower floor below the Cowboy Bar, seeing all the history listed in the pictures and coming to the glass doors at the end of the hallway to enter really set the tone, felt like we found a hidden gem and everyone in our group was smiling knowing we were in for a good time. The food was excellent, the decor has a warm modern rustic vibe with beautiful knotty wood pillars. The service was incredible, beginning to end, even with my wife stubbing her toe on the way out, the restaurant director came to the rescue, took such good care of her, and saved our evening. We felt spoiled the moment we walked in the door, THANK YOU!
