Well, for starters, the hostess was boasting about how great another Italian restaurant was in toqn was instead of bragging on the one she worked at, so, not a great start. We sat at the bar, and the bartender put our appetizer order in at the same time as our dinner order, so everything came at once. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo and added chicken. The chicken was basically just boiled, and the pasta was absolutely flavorless and bland. A major disappointment considering the dish was almost thirty dollars. I gave the bartender some advice for the chef, though I doubt mu word was passed along. Won’t be returning.

We took the server’s recommendation of grilled palisade, peaches and creamy, ricotta appetizer. It was amazing. All the rest of our food was very fresh and tasty and we had a lovely time. The portions were large enough that my husband and I could split.

Haven’t eaten there in a while because the food was OK but the service was terrible the past two times we’ve been. However it’s been a minute so we thought we’d try again. Called to place an order for take out… was told “we’re not taking to go orders tonight”. What? I don’t Even want a table… just some pasta! How hard is it to punch it in while talking on the phone? With that said, it’s par for the course with the owners and their son of that place and their other restaurant eat by southwest. Zero customer service and could care less. They are fine with seething the tourists they will never see again.

I love Mamma Sylvia’s! When my dad, who was born and raised in Italy and moved to the US in his 20’s, visited me here in Durango, I knew I had to bring him here. He got on so well with all their wait staff and loved all the food! When he asked if they had Limoncello as a dessert/digestif and they brought it out he was so excited!

We arrived as soon as they opened without a reservation. They immediately said they had a table available and could seat us. We placed our order and proceeded to wait about 30 minutes to get our food. The drinks and our server Tony were fabulous. The food was fair but we immediately noticed the portion sizes for the price for the meals were small. Once we had finished with our meal the young hostess nervously came to our table and stated “I told you when you came in you had to leave by 5:45 and it’s now 5:55 and we had a reservation for 6 would you please leave now”. We don’t hold her responsible for this as she had been coached to say this but our problem was we were never told we would have to leave by a certain time We all thought it was incredibly rude and due to the food being overpriced and the attitude of get them in and out so we can make more money we will never return

My husband and I finally ate here. He ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. He said it taste plain like chef bordee from a can. Pasta was ok. I ordered the lasagna. My favorite dish. However it was hard and dry. I couldn’t hardly cut or chew it. Won’t be back! But thanks for the effort. Service was great! Prices are high for the quality of food.

Such a lovely restaurant. But the food… Oh my gosh the food. Beyond amazing and the owner was completely amazing and helped us personally. They accommodated some restrictions that I have without question. We went back 2 days later with our friends. 10/10 stars

was so looking forward to Mama Silvia’s. Unfortunately, it was just ok. I ordered the Carbonara and it was tasty. I could not get over the smell of the restaurant. It’s hard to describe the smell…I guess it smells like an old building. I will probably order take out next time. The staff was nice. Also, I don’t like the 3% inflation charge.
