During my recent visit to Empire Szechuan for takeout, I had a chance to try a variety of dishes including the beef lo mein, cold sesame noodles, sweet and sour chicken, spicy salmon roll, crab Rangoons, egg rolls, pork dumplings, and hot and sour soup. The food was prepared quickly, and I was impressed with the variety of options available.

I’ve been here several times, and they have really good Chinese food. They also have sushi and Szechuan here as well which I never tried yet. They have a nice place to dine inside too. My favorite things to order are their sesame chicken, vegetable fried rice, and vegetable egg roll. They are so DELICIOUS! Their sweet and sour chicken is really good too! I usually love orange chicken, but here they make it too spicy for me. If you see a dish that is marked spicy on their menu it’s going to be much more spicier than your average Chinese restaurant. I will ask them next time if they can make it without the spice. The portions are generous, and their prices are reasonable. I recommend Empire Szechuan in Englishtown!

I have a very hard time finding a Chinese food that I enjoy. I finally found the one!! Food was delicious. Chicken was not fatty at all and sauce had great taste, orange chicken. We all had something different and all enjoyed! Online ordering makes it simple. Good service as well. Will be ordering from them again.

I ordered a sautéed baby shrimp w.chicken in brown sauce last week. Instead I got shrimp and chicken w string beans. Careless mistake food is good. This evening I tried to order but was put on hold. I can hear the lady on the phone with another customer, and she totally forgot me. Careless mistake. Hope it gets better.

One of the only restaurants that has not raised prices in the last year!! Owner said she is doing her best to keep prices down and not passing cost own to customers.

I went to Empire schezwan and specifically asked for a spicy tofu dish that had some gravy to it so that I could eat it with rice. What they instead gave me was basically soft tofu with some mushrooms and what was essentially chili oil. And if you look at the picture it was probably just a ton of oil that was poured to make gravy of oil.

food was just ok, waitress wasn’t too friendly – maybe because it was 3:20pm and we cut into her lunch break. prices were a bit higher than other comparable restaurants for the amount and quality of food.

This little Chinese place doesn’t disappoint. I go there mostly for their Singapore Mai Fun, which they prepare as spicy you want. The wonton soup is delicious and the little crisps they serve it with are much better than in most Chinese restaurants. My wife loves the moo shu chicken as well as their moo goo gai pan. Whatever we order though, we’re never disappointed. And the staff is super nice.
