kah‧vi‧la is a Finnish word that means café or coffeehouse. Established in Menahga, MN in 2019, we are a European café market. We sell espressos, smoothies, coffee, breakfast, flatbreads, sandwiches, salads & wraps, European gifts, plants, and so much more. Located in downtown Menahga on Hwy 71, we occupy the second oldest building in town. It used to be the Olson Feed Store. Come on in and check out the old photos. At Kahvila Coffee House, we use only the finest ingredients including organic fair-trade coffee, freshly baked goods, and real fruit for our smoothies. On average I get coffee and or food from Kahvila atleast 2 X per week. Food and coffee have always been good. Today, I pulled into drive thru, there was a vehicle in front of me, after 15 minutes of waiting to order I decided to park and go inside to order. There were 2 younger girls in line ahead of me waiting to order. We were the only customers in there . The girls ordered 2 drinks, no food, they waited over 20 mins for their drinks. I waited longer than that. Between sitting in drive thru and going inside I waited a total of 40 minutes for my order, which was for 1 cappuccino. I got my drink and politely told the girl behind the counter that I had been waiting 40 minutes , she immediately got defensive and said it wasnt there fault as they were waiting for their 3rd employee to show up. Not once did she apologize, or offer up a coupon for a future order. I told her that having worked in the industry for many years that if a customer tells you that they have been waiting that long that you need to listen and sympathize with the customer. She took no responsibility and not even an apology was given.

My and 2 friends (both of whom were visiting from Omaha) stopped in on labor day 2022 and for being such a small establishment, all 3 of us guys thought the food was great and definitely was in the 2nd place all time favorites of all the places we ate that weekend, and believe me when I say we ate at a lot of places that weekend.
