I was there yesterday (7/21/23) and ordered Double cooked Pork belly which was $16.95 (i.e. same price online). When my bill came, It was over $21 and I checked if the tip was included. There was none only the total. I still gave $2.00 tip even though nothing speciual was given except take your order and deliver your food. water was not refilled.. Will not come back. I feel I was cheated. Food was mediocre. My Mom is Chinese from Northern China and I can cook better.

The food is very authentic and delicious. It’s a haven for Asian-Americans to get good food from their home countries.

It’s proper North-Eastern Chinese food cooked by your family. I order 小鸡炖蘑菇 and 孜然牛肉. They taste authentic and flavored, but I am a bit concerned that the chefs and owners did not wear their masks all the time. The inside is kinda old and small.

Delicious and fresh tasting food. Very personable staff with an eagerness to help with the ordering. Small, clean restaurant with photos of some of the most popular menu items on the walls. Generous portions, not fancy with garnishes and extra flourishes. Home cooking at its best. If you like bland food, skip this place; herbs and spices are used liberally.

I ordered Taiwanese Sausage Fried rice, and it is an understatement to say that I am disappointed. The rice was not even fried? Looks like regular steamed rice, maybe not even washed? I added a photo of a bag of frozen cubed carrots and peas as a comparison of what is in my “fried” rice because I am pretty sure this is exactly what went into my “Taiwanese sausage fried rice” the biggest piece of egg I’ve eaten in this dish was smaller than the hair on my toes. The main selling point of this dish is supposed to be the fancy sounding Taiwanese sausage, however, this is definitely a regular a*s hotdog was maybe toasted in an air fryer in my college dorm. This is the poorest representation of a fried rice dish I have ever seen, and even I could make a more authentic fried rice dish in my run down college house with a budget of 10 dollars. Never come here for your own sanity.

The red bean milk tea is sweet and delicious, I will be going back for more! The Bibimbap is fantastic, I will be back for more of this as well! The food is really good here and there was no wait for a table, this is one of my favorite Asian restaurants on down town Ann Arbor, I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re hungry, I felt like I had plenty of great tasting food. This restaurant is set up in likeness to a casual Asian diner and I think Tianchu is locally owned and operated, taste apart of Ann Arbor!

I love this place for their traditional Chinese food, great hot pots and seafood dishes. They also have a large variety of other Asian based dishes.

Always walked past this place and never went in, but it seems like they are under new management now and are specializing in northeastern Chinese cuisine (with bits of Sichuan and Korean). Surprisingly really good

I like the food alright. It’s just the automatic add-on 18% tip is not reasonable.

Had the Stir-fried four seasons beans and the water boiled flounder filet. Both were excellent, super authentic and full of chilis!
