Angelo’s of Burien Menu – Burien, WA

Type : Italian restaurant

Location : Burien, WA

In May 1957, Angelo Ricci opened a delicatessen on the corner of SW 153rd Street and 6th Avenue SW in Burien. Angelo learned his family’s method of Italian cooking from his father Michele, a grocer who had immigrated from Italy to Osawatomie, Kansas in 1911. Michele always emphasized the importance of the quality and freshness of ingredients.
Angelo and his family rapidly expanded, offering a full dining room and lounge by the early 1960s. Angelo made a name for himself and his restaurant by bringing food from around the country and world to Burien.

Now, over half a century later, Angelo’s children and grandchildren carry on his legacy.

Angelo’s is really my favorite restaurant. Always an amazing meal! I usually get a Rutherford steak, but I have been trying some specials. No matter what you order, it is going to be absolutely delicious.

It’s Angelo’s, it’s good. Fantastic steaks, great pasta and some really nice salads. Angelo’s has been a staple of the Burien area for special occasions or just to treat yourself.

Ordered takeout. Wanted a great lasagna, some reviews made me hesitant and almost didn’t especially when I saw it had spinach and mushrooms which I don’t like. BUT! it was the most flavorful lasagna I’ve ever had, just each bite was so rich. And the bread was also like a taste buds assault. So the reviews that called the food bland, I would disagree.

Have been enjoying Angelo’s for about 3+ decades… was surprised last night when I came in… & no white linen table clothes… nice wood tables no problem but I don’t believe I have ever been there when there wasn’t a table cloth.

Ok, I had out of town company, so we were just googling places to eat in Burien, plus we like taking my Mom out to dinner. she’s 94! We happened upon Angelos, and forevermore, we will be loyal customers!

They don’t make small town italian restaurants like this anymore. The veal phillipo is honestly one of the best veals I’ve ever had. So tender with just the right consistency on the cream sauce. Love the old paintings everywhere. The wine recommendations were amazing. The service was quick and helpful. We sat in the main dining room but the lounge looks really nice so I think we’ll spend an afternoon in there next time.

My partner and I’s first impression of the place is how run down the restaurant was. The walls were stained, the lights were yellow, the seats were stained, the floor was dirty, and the pictures on the wall were crooked. The waiters were nice though, and were really attentive to the group we came with. They were friendly and transparent about everything, they also constantly checked up on our table, serving us water, cleaning our table, and giving us appetizers whenever they thought we needed more. The food took a while, but it was understandable. However, for the price, the food was extremely mediocre. Everything was either too sweet, oily, or drowned in sauce. My partner got the ravioli and it was literally red sauce, barely any ground up meat, and pasta. That’s it. For over $16! I got the lasagna and although I enjoyed it, the portion was tiny for over $22. I was able to finish it in around 5 bites, and I’m not a big dude. Overall, we both agreed our money was better spent else where for cheaper and better food.

There marinara sauce is Fantastic!! Is was not expecting much from a Italian Restaurant in Burien however this place blew my mind. Both there Lasagna and tortellini with meat sauce simply made sense that they where supposed to be prepared that way.

I went here with a friend last night, and we had a wonderful time! The service was amazing, and the “steak for two” dinner was even better! (Not pictured is the two delicious Caesar side salads that came before our meal.) We can’t wait to go back and get the exact same thing! My friend also ordered a seafood cannelloni dinner to take home to her mother, she had two beers and I had two glasses of wine that were generously poured. We spent about $105 altogether before tip

Husband and I had a wonderful evening. Eventhough they were very busy, our server’s and a hostess named Evi were friendly, attentive, and very professional.
