Great meal at Morgan’s Tavern! We saw the Very positive TripAdvisor reviews and were very happy with both the service and the meals. Almost all menu items are locally sourced and the Sunrise Burger with onion rings was delicious. Cooked perfectly with a great crust and flavor. Definitely worth the time to find and enjoy a meal. My wife had a turkey reuben with freshly made sweet potato fries and that was also great. The fries has the perfect mix of crunch and softness to let the sweet potato flavor come through.

First I must say that our server, Sabrina was probably the best server I’ve ever had in my many years of dining out. My husband and I were sharing an anniversary lunch at Morgan’s Tavern. The atmosphere was friendly and warm-were were accepted immediately even though we did not have reservations. Food was delicious and well-cooked. Did I say the server was EXCELLENT? She was. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the two cocktails my husband ordered were incredibly expensive. Be careful what kind of vodka you order or you could end up paying $20.00 per drink.

Unfortunately had the worst experience here. Our waitress, Terri, was very kind and hospitable. Can’t say anything negative about the service. However, can’t say anything good about the food experience. My friend and I ordered a cup of soup that came out looking like unappetizing baby food, and was completely cold. We paid $15 for food that was simply inedible, cancelled the entree order, and left.

On 9/29/22 in the evening, I ordered truffle fries to-go. I waited around 30 minutes for my order when the restaurant was not busy at all — there were only two other people. When the food finally came, it was not in a to-go container. Further, it was completely cold. I think that my server had forgotten about my order. She also had an attitude and was not friendly at all. Very disappointed. However, I went back the next day for lunch and had a pleasant experience with a different server.

We went for a celebration lunch! We were a bit concerned since they stopped service at 2 and it was 1:40 but they sat us and made us feel welcome! Both of us ordered the specials -Philly Cheese Steak & Fish Tacos! Food was delicious. Server was nice but only one on and seemed a bit distracted; however, we really enjoyed our lunch and would go back!

I guess underwhelmed is the word to describe our experience. We were expecting more of an experience from such a historic place. The crab cakes (appetizer) were small, dry and hidden under wilted lettuce. We each ordered the halibut for the main course and it was very over done. I got the sense they were under-staffed, and I get it, all restaurants are in this economic climate, but it isn’t fair to the patron to still get charged very high prices.

The Chicken Statler entre was absolutely phenomenal, I ate every bite. There was wonderful jazz music which was excellent to listen to in addition to adding to the overall ambiance. The wait staff were lovely and all the food from the dinner rolls to the sweet potatoes was fabulous.

My family has been coming up for over 50 years. The inn is not at all up to it’s original standards. Ribs were tasty but not cooked long enough, chicken was well seasoned but dry, medium rare burger came out well done, and lobster mac and cheese had three bites of lobster in a pound of mac and cheese. The new england clam chowder was not at all the original and the clams were hard and chewy. Our plates did not get takin away until after we paid the bill. Very Disappointing.
