Comes with complimentary table bread, butter, and pickles. The ground pepper that comes in a bowl was the only saving grace. Everything is pretty bland besides the meat and cheese plate, which was very salty.

You can only eat here if you pay to get into Greenfield Village. But if you do- totally worth it! The food was superb- it’s mostly things grown at the village farms. The service staff is really good! It is “themed”- staff in old timey outfits, candles only for most of the lighting. But it adds to the experience!

Very good food. I got the pork cutlets. The seasoning was great. Most time they are a little bland at other places. I loved the 19th century dinning feel in Greenfield village.

The Eagle Tavern was a time jump to the past. Period outfits and period food and drinks from days of old. All the dishes we tried were delicious, especially the strawberry pie.

A place back in time. The food was well presented and very tasty. Great service. Waitresses are dressed in period clothing. Great selection of period dishes and also drinks. I recommend the Apple Jack & Cider.

If you ever want to be transported back into time, Eagle Tavern is your place. Located inside the absolutely beautiful Greenfield Village. Daily, the menu is placed outside on the side of the restaurant, so you may look over the menu before walking into the establishment. If you decide to dine, you are greeted by a host that opens the door and inside awaits the 1800s. The staff are all dressed in period clothing, and you are greated as you would have been back in the day. Once you are inside of the restaurant, you are completely transported into the period. The restaurant is light by vandle light and natural light from the windows. This only adds to the alluring nature of the restaurant.

The server recommended “Fried Tomatoes” for appetizer, so I ordered it without much expectation.

I was on a field trip with my daughter. It was a very interesting experience. We did not eat here. However, the food smelled great. I will eat here the next time we are down this way.
