Stopped in for a drink after biking the red head trail. Staff was super friendly. It is a very large place with a food/family friendly area and a bar area as well! I would love to come back for food, we just didn’t have an appetite-we were mostly running on adrenaline and wanted a drink yo simmer down!

So, I got a classic 2 eggs, choice of meat and hasbrowns with a glass of OJ. Eggs were over easy and down well, nice pink circle atop a white blanket, perfect! The bacon was crispy and delicious. I don’t like hashbrowns but these complemented the dish nicely. I completely cleaned the plate. The service was great and felt like they were with me when I needed. And the best part was that it wasn’t too busy, a few patrons. Looked to be the usual everyday clientele, they got along with the employees so well. Like I was part of a wholesome sitcom. I loved eating here, and I may make it there everyday while working.

The Sportsmen’s Restaurant and Taverna has always served very good to excellent food! Their servers are fast and efficient. Sure, occasionally I have to ask for steak sauce or ketchup, but, oh well. That would be offset by the portions, selection and flavor of the food. Their coffee isn’t bad…it could be a little stronger. Their pie and desserts are wonderful! The atmosphere is homey. Choose booths or counter in one section….picture a diner. Another section is made up of booths and tables to seat many. The more private room is nice for meetings or get-togethers. And, finally, an entirely separate, door divided section consists of the bar area which is comfortable and also serves food. There is a closed off smoking porch “out back”.

The finest Midwest comfort food in the area. Amazing breakfast, and nice options for lunch/dinner + some Greek Flare with tasty Gyros. Friendly staff, cozy small town atmosphere. Can’t recommend enough.
