Came for breakfast, left disappointed. I wanted to give 1 star, but my better self added another for the ambiance and service. The food is good, but the menu is confusing and too simplistic. I ordered the quiche and what appeared 15 minutes later was a giant platter pleasantly plated with pesto-topped tomato and a mini-quiche (whole) about the size of a child’s palm that was absolutely dwarfed by a large bowl of (fried?) tots. As in the most basic bar accoutrement. Did I order tots? I double-checked the menu and confirmed that I had only ordered quiche.

French toast and chilled overnight oats were both excellent. Never thought I’d like cold oatmeal for breakfast but it was great. And the French toast was incredible. One giant crispy slab with a moist tasty center, accomplished by carmelized bananas, blueberries, strawberries, currents, blackberries, one single tasty almond, and whipped cream.

Quite honestly some of the best food I’ve ever had, I enjoyed the Ahi tuna sashimi as well as the chocolate pudding dessert. I’d have to say truly one of the most balanced entrees I’ve had in my life meanwhile having exciting flavor profiles of citrus and fresh seafood with very mild spice and pickled notes. The dessert was also incredibly well made and had what I would argue was the best sweetness to flavor ratio of a chocolate dessert in my life. I will be coming back frequently!

Brilliant! Lovely dining room, delicious, beautifully prepared food with high quality fresh ingredients. Huge portions, so it’s a great value for the price. We will go again!

Considering we stayed at Hotel SLO, we had the opportunity to enjoy both breakfast and a casual dinner here (technically our dinner was on the rooftop bar, but the food comes from Piadina)

Decided to return for our standing Friday lunch date and left wondering why we don’t return *every* week! The food is delicious (fried chicken burger and fries, crisp and hot) the patio classy and relaxing and the service is excellent. Gabby and Heather took good care of us, they were attentive without being intrusive and Gabby, especially, was genuinely happy to see us again! We will be back soon!

Celebrated my 70th birthday with an early-morning breakfast. The place was immaculate and comfortable when it opened — many other places seem to need time to “wake up” for breakfast. The Pain Perdu (French toast) was superb and beautifully presented — I wasn’t expecting all the additional fruit, including banana slices draped in delicate syrup and crystallized sugar or honey. But it was Hakeem, the server, who made the visit and quiet celebration even more exceptional. He was professional, friendly, responsive and has a beautiful voice when he sang “Happy Birthday” to me. I’ve told friends and family of this most memorable meal, visit and service at Piadina’s — and they all now have it on their itinerary to visit when next in SLO. Touché!

Consistently one of the best kitchens in SLO county. We put it like this: no matter where you go in SLO or the surrounding areas, eating out isn’t cheap but for the 10 to 15% more we spend at Piadina, the quality of food, quality of preparation, service and atmosphere is several orders of magnitude better. It’s a small menu but just about anything you pick is outstanding. The Pizzas are some of the best in SLO, the burger is one of the best burgers you’re likely to eat, the salads are the freshest produce and the herb roasted chicken is one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had anywhere. Recently I had one of the best iced Americanos I’ve ever had anywhere, perfectly smooth. Such a simple thing but in a town full of coffee houses, it’s funny to find the best one in a restaurant — and priced cheaper than the coffee houses. When friends/family come into town Piadina is such an easy decision for us because even when they’re busy, the food comes out fast and it comes out right every single time. They don’t skimp on portions either. Most items on the menu can easily be split by two people. All said, it’s one of the best managed venues in SLO.

Wonderful atmosphere- warm patio heaters, live acoustic music. Outstanding service- our waiter even checked for a dessert that fit my dietary restrictions and the chef altered a dessert for me. The food was delicious- every single thing was so tasty.
