If I could give this place a negative zero I would! When I 1st moved to Columbus and found this place I thought I had hit the jackpot on soul food because the food was delicious. I don’t know what happened here but last year I brought my significant other to get food bragging about the place and the food ended up horrible! For a whole year we didn’t come back until today. Big mistake! We ordered rib dinners and an extra side of yams. The food AGAIN was horrible! The greens were bitter, yams must have been canned yams because they looked like it and had no seasoning and the beef tips looked like they were thrown in foil and bbq sauce just thrown on there and as you can see from pictures you don’t get much and I paid $44 for two orders. I will NEVER return and let others know not to come here. And what makes it so bad the owner was cooking and making the plates. A straight rip off. Go to Laglorys their food is better and they do not charge extra for the sides they’re included in the price. Example their rib dinner is 13.99 with the sides this place charged me 15.99 plus $2 extra for the sides. Smh they need to shut down

Green collar was the best but I have order from them many times. Burger was under cooked. Fish once was bad but other time was good. Depending on who is cooking. Atmosphere very bad and not appropriate for restaurant. Review do scared me to go there again because I don’t want to get sick one day! Price should go down little bit since review isn’t that great and in shop isn’t clean or setup in approximately way. There some old stuffs in back of seats.

I decided to try the food again after 4yrs. Big mistake. I went on Friday June 9th 2023. I got perch & rib combo. I have been up all night sick. I should’ve not eaten the perch it didn’t look fresh it looked old. But I ate half of it. This morning I’m still not feeling well. I believe I got food poisoning. I will never go here again!!!

When I say food was horrendous, nothing had seasoning. Not the chicken, fish, or shrimp. There’s not one black person in that kitchen and if there is they’re from the burbs. Macaroni was repulsive. Just throw the whole establishment away, respectfully.

I haven’t been to Lawshea’s in several years and decided to give them a try last night. I decided to try two different meals. One being the turkey rib dinner. The greens were ok and the yams had a funny taste to them and were more like two small pieces of yams with the mush that is known with yam dishes. The turkey ribs were ok, but the sauce and ribs were lukewarm. The chicken wings were ok, but the fries were super soggy with grease, which made them unedible. I asked for hot sauce and was charged for a cup of buffalo sauce. You’d think a place that sells soul food would have regular hot sauce. Much as I love supporting my black owned businesses, I won’t be returning again to the subpar food.

Turkey ribs were cold, Mac & was not baked or what one would expect from a “soulfood restaurant” greens were definitely not cooked with smoked turkey, it actually tasted like some form.of pork. And they also tasted like glory canned greens as if they opened the can of glory greens and discarded the actually contents and used the juice and seasoning from the can and cooked fresh greens in it! They advertised southern fried chicken but when asked what part of the south were tjey representing, the response was they are from the North- (go figure) false advertising to get customers. $28 for 2 turkey rib dinners amd 2 drinks, when addressed dissatisfaction to the “boss/cook” his response was “well when you come back i can try to make it better” SMFH! The floors were dirty and trash was under the coolers…
