Our Sunday night savior; we decided to take a few extra minutes for the short drive off Int 20 to have a real meal while traveling & it was well worth it. They make delicious fresh meat burgers & shakes that are the stuff of memories. Our mozzarella sticks & fried pickle spears were excellent, as well. Thanks to the staff for their friendly service at 8pm on a Sunday evening.

No food menu. Told them 1st time here and they said what you need to know. Service was pretty bad. No onions rings, no chicken tenders, no chicken sandwich almost nothing that appears on meneus posted online they actually have. Didn’t have stuff for upside down banana split. This was my 1st and last time coming here and I had my hopes up for this place. It was very disappointing. And prices are not great to top it off. Oh yeah I ask for menu and they said they didn’t have one and I seen them sitting there. They said that because they have nothing listed on that menu.

Honestly am happy that I stopped and turned back around after passing by this place! The spicy nuggets sign caught my attention but tbh, they’re like the ones you get at the store but the fried pickle spears were good and the upside down banana split and the dazzle Oreo shake? SOOOO GOOOOOD! Satisfied my sweet tooth and the onion rings and fries are good too!

Not what I was expecting. I expect soft serve to be creamy kinda like Dairy Queen but this was more like chick fil a ice cream that’s got like ice chips in it. Hard to describe. Also the staff was busy and I get that but the girl didn’t even acknowledge us standing at the window for more then 5 mins and we had never been there before and when we asked questions she seemed irritated and rude. None of the staff was wearing gloves either which when handling food I mean… I think that’s a necessity. After we got our ice cream and went to stand by our car I noticed the girl outback smoking with the door open… now to think that she was smoking and then making ice cream really grosses me out. I’m glad we tried it to say that we did but if we are ever in the area again I will definitely go somewhere else.

Fast food it ain’t… good food it is!! Had the cheeseburger and a vanilla malt shake… it was excellent… there was a wreck on I-20 that rerouted me through here for the first time in many years…a little like going back in time at this 1948 establishment… worth the wait!!

Great throw back place. Old fashioned burgers and great soft serve ice cream. Oh and the sonic type ice cubes or is it Whataburger. I had a few small knocks, I elected to dip the cone and it got really messy, so heads up, I’d skip the dip unless you’re prepared for a messy experience. The burger though cooked to order didn’t seem piping hot. The last bit is more experience related, ask for exactly what you want on it, including condiments. They asked and I said lettuce tomato and pickles and that’s exactly what I got. No mayo, mustard, ketchup. So it’s made to order, order it right!

Nice old place that serves tasty hamburgers and any ice cream and sundae you can imagine. Family run business since 1948 that is a landmark in the local community. Outside dining or takeaway only. Picnic tables are provided and even a screened in area so you can get away from the pesky bugs. Service is great as prices are more than fair. Stop by to get just a ice cream or enjoy a complete meal. Great little place to take a break after riding your motorcycle over Mt. Cheaha.

Been going here many years when I was younger with my folks. An now I take my children out here for a better quality ice cream then you run of the mill food chains. The food it tasty an the ice cream well very good as well. I recommend the stake burger you want be disappointed.

We ordered 2 cheeseburgers,a milk shake,sundae cuo,and a child’s cup for our dog. The burgers were amazing! They were cooked perfect. Not burnt or greasy at all .the sundae was perfect. I loved how I got to choose what to put in it. Also the milkshake they let us put 2 different kinds in it! The only thing is the staff could be more friendly. When you say thank you to someone,you would expect them to acknowledge you in some way not just walk away and act like you didn’t say anything. Other then that our overall experience was awesome!! Will definitely come back.
