The girls running the show are friendly and super nice. Food is excellent. She even offered to add rice cakes to the menu for next time since I asked her for this Shanghai dish in a Sichuan centered restaurant! Our favorites shredded lamb with hot green peppers, Crispy Chongqing Spicy Chicken, and spicy fish.

An OK spot with very limited menu which honestly, wasn’t anything special. We were a part of a big party and order most of the items from the menu. Staff is very nice though. Dusty interior (mirrors and lamps) :/

Sorry to say when the former owner Rene left she took the flavor with her!! For the almost five years we’ve been going there, I have gotten the shredded pork in garlic sauce, it was the best. Anyone I brought there that tried it loved it. Have been there twice since Rene sold out and both times the dish I loved so much Truly disappointed. Very little flavor. We dined in and tried take out. Same disappointing results either way. Their chicken lo mein used to be awesome. That now has absolutely ZERO flavor. And their dishes aren’t cheap either. Their soup dumplings are still good. But now it is just your run of the mill Chinese restaurant where every dish tastes the same. Goodbye Truly, thanks for the memories….

I love eating spicy and this place hits just the right spot. It’s spicy enough to keep your mouth watery but not too spicy to numb your mouth. My favorite dish is the spicy live fish and the Tea Smoked duck. The portions are huge and the price is cheaper if not the same than the other restaurants around. They opened three weeks ago and this is already my third time. Definitely will continue coming back. I would recommend parking near the residential area because this area in Ridgewood gets really busy during the evenings on weekends.

Delicious Sichuan style foods!! Tasty and spicy of course you can let them know to tone down the spice level so you can still enjoy the dish. The staff are super friendly and attentive. I’ve been here many times and will be coming back for many many more.

Came here for lunch on a recommendation from one of my coworkers. I really like Sichuan food so when I heard there was a new place nearby I had to try it immediately! I was not disappointed! I ordered 2 appetizers for lunch, wontons in chili oil and beef tongue and tripe. Both were extremely delicious. The wonton dough was very thin just the way I like it. Both dishes were spicy as expected. I could handle it but one of my coworkers were sweating a bit. Haha. The waitress was very friendly and the owner or manager came by to chat with us for a minute. Prices were very reasonable. Parking in Ridgewood can always be a pain but the restaurant is located right next to a public lot so it shouldn’t be too hard.

Hands down, the best wonton soup I’ve ever had! I loved everything at Truly Schezuan-the soup dumpling, pork dumplings in house sauce, King Pao chicken and the pork with sweet miso. All authentic and delicious.
