Holy s#!&, this place is amazing! Was driving through town and needed a quick bite to eat, so I figured I’d give it a try. The BBQ sandwich and root beer float are some of the best I’ve had ANYWHERE, and I’ve tried a lot, all over the country. Also, they LOVE their veterans here. Super friendly place with amazing food. Seriously, give ’em a try.

The food is wonderful!! Stopped for a quick bite on our road trip back from Yellowstone…this is a family owned bistro with a small menu plus ice cream with very tasty food. So worth the tiny detour from the highway!

Would have loved to have time for a meal – the selection looks amazing! Met the owner, sweet, young gal that was offering several varieties of delicious ice cream. Although several items were out of stock, (it’s a happening place) we still pondered a minute to make a choice from the many available. An older gentleman (employee) was helping her with orders and we learned her and her husband have owned the place for a couple of years now.

Absolutely wonderful restaurant! For the patriotic, the atmosphere was welcoming and warm. The food was well-prepared, clean, and absolutely delightful. Family-friendly too! 20/10 would stop here again!

Went in woman was eating at the table. I asked her if she had any burgers since my 2 yr old is super picky and won’t eat much. Anyhow she was super annoyed and said “No we ain’t got no burgers and ain’t nobody sell any burgers in town best be going to McDonald’s. We don’t serve no chicken nuggets either.” So needless to say we left. It was super rude to be told they “ain’t got nothing” when we didn’t even ask anything about chicken nuggets. Well, I asked her which bar it was that served the big burgers with a steak knife sticking out of it and she looked super pissed and said there’s two bars in town. She wouldn’t tell me which one it was and was reluctant to send us to another business in town to support her community. She was more interested in sending people to McDonald’s and losing business. Disappointed especially after reading reviews I actually detoured here just for this place. Most places we go to will at least offer to whip up a grilled cheese or something for my 2 yr old without any issues and or places would even suggest making something for her, even if just giving her a slice of cheese. Don’t waste your time here. Service is rude and the woman seems bothered to have people around. I found the burger joint and learned there’s a bunch of burger/American grills in town from Anchor.

I travel extensively for work and like to try local, non corporate type places wherever I am. Sometimes regional delights, sometimes regular fare.

Amazing home cooked style food! Amazing kind hearted people! American values! A real small town gem hidden in the Midwest. Try any sandwich with the word Cuban in it and you won’t be disappointed.

This was a great stop for lunch on the way to the black hills. I highly recommend eating here. The food was great, the staff were very friendly. I also loved that the proprietor was a patriot.

On our way to Rapid City to visit a friend, my friend told us to stop and visit the Akta Lakota Museum, that is was interesting and educational. Thought we’d stop for a quick bite to eat, saw this little place tucked in between two buildings and said to each other “this is small town, good eating”, so we stopped. Being a Marine, upon seeing the “All Lives Matter” sign in the window gave me a pleasant feeling. It has a small diner feel, and we were greeted pleasantly and shown our seats quickly. We each ordered a root beer float, at the recommendation of our waitress, I ordered the BlackBerry bacon grilled cheese, and my girlfriend ordered the turkey, gouda and apple sandwich…AMAZING!! We were pleasantly surprised at the mixture of flavors and how perfect they went together. We thanked the owner, Amanda, who came to our table, who was sweet and has a family of Marines, which really pleased me! Patriotic, and amazing food to boot…we will come back to this bistro when back this way. You won’t regret stopping here, your stomach and your heart will thank you!!
