I took my dad to the races for Father’s Day, and we decided to stop at The Fox Den for dinner on the way. We were all very glad that we did! I love my bacon cheeseburgers, and the Foxy is probably one of the biggest ones I’ve ever had!! I could only eat half! And it was sooo good! The onion rings are to die for! Dad had the fried shrimp dinner, and he said it was delicious! He really loved the fries. Lily had the chicken fingers, and she was really happy with them! And they have Widowmaker on tap! I highly recommend stopping here if you’re in Houghton Lake. We might just make the trip back to try the fried ice cream!!

Have been looking forward to our first visit and it did not disappoint. Friendly service & the food was fresh, hot & delishous. Sorry had half of mine eaten before I took the pic. Fish sandwich & Steak n Shrimp. Definitely recommed.

The service and portions were great. The hand dipped onion rings and homemade season fries were amazing. The fish was well battered and cooked to perfection. 5 stars this is how a small town restaurant should be. Staff was friendly so glad we stopped here for dinner.

We liked it so much we ate here twice in the four days that we were in the area. Walleye was great and we went back for the prime rib special which was excellent as well. Good ADA access. Atmosphere was basic but the food is what we were there for.

Great place for the family!! Wonderful food and atmosphere. Kids can play games like cornhole and basketball. Staff is good and manager is awesome. They closed at 8 but took us at 730 and we had a party of 11!! Highly recommend

First off, when you walk in, know that you’re NOT crashing a wedding reception or graduation party (90% sure). Jokes mostly aside, the menu is huge and my “Piggy Burger” was simply, and surprisingly, amazing. It definitely doesn’t look like it would produce top tier food, but everything I tried (from the bread and oil, the fries, the onion rings, fried shrimp, and previously mentioned burger) was extremely tasty and large in portion. Natasha, our server, was very friendly and efficient! Definitely worth the stop!

Great place away from the crowds of people just off 55. Stopped by on a Saturday at 6:30pm and didn’t have to wait to be seated. Staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. We all hade ribeyes and the steaks were tender. Will be back.
