Our family went to the Red Horse Tavern for brunch on Sunday after Church. We had heard good things about the place when it was owned by the previous owners, but hadn’t had a chance to check it out until recently, and we understand the restaurant is under new ownership. We had a very good experience. I ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown (pictured), which was

Food was delicious! I had the BBQ Chicken salad. My daughter had the fish they had for Lent Friday. She said it was the best fish she had ever had.

My kids had chicken tenders, fries, chips, and grilled cheese. Chips and fries all looked made in house and were delicious! I had grilled steak wedge salad, it was pretty good, the Bleu cheese was extra tangy, so if you don’t like that, ask for it on the side. The steak portion was large and seasoned differently than I’ve every had. I also had cranberry ginger beer mocktail my son enjoyed as much as I did!

Wowzers! I am so satisfied after my lunch at the newly re-opened Red Horse Tavern. Everything, from the mocktails to dessert, was absolutely delicious. We tried the Pineapple Mule and Blackberry Lime fizz from the mocktail list. Both were so refreshing. Can’t wait til they get their liquor license settled and can serve alcohol—I’m sure the cocktails will be equally delightful!

Had a very nice dinner. A little tight getting to the table, but not an issue once we were seated. The new menu seems good for our first visit since it reopened. My friends raved about the Tavern Stew.

Had brunch, (I personally had the shrimp and grits) which was amazing. We had a 7 top and the waitress was great. Shehandled our disorganization wonderfully. I look forward to trying dinner there soon.
