The food is good! Prices are fair for quality & quantity. We have tried thecSteak Tostada, tacos, tamales, chorizo quesadillas, birria tacos & churros. Ok to go but better if you dine in, however there is only one waitress & she does everything but cook.

Randomly stopped at this place and I am so thankful I did! Best sopes I have ever had!! I have travelled around local towns in Mexico and have eaten at countless restaurants in varying suburbs and Chicago. Since moving out of the Chicago area I have been looking for a favorite authentic Mexican restaurant. Just found it!!

I seen a post from Great Food of Kankakee County so me and my family decided to go and have some tacos from their promotion($2 tacos). Worst decision I have ever made I don’t even know how this people from Great food rated them so good if this place is a joke. First of the cashier that was taking orders after repeating my order to him several times he still ended up getting it wrong and we ended up not getting all of our tacos. We all had to eat our tacos on flour tortillas because they ran out of corn tortillas and they had no cilantro. The food was so grease and the tacos that my husband’s cousin got had more fat than meat. I was so hungry and ordered 4 tacos Al pastor and got only one. Ones of the flour tortillas were not well cook that my daughter couldn’t even eat a whole taco. Then all the tables were so dirt still with dishes left one them that there was nowhere to sit. Also we said we were dinning in and they packed out food to go. So we will never be going back there again because beside getting charged for tacos I didn’t even get they didn’t refund our money back and ended up leaving still hungry that I had to go home and still cook food. To the owner please hires worker that actually know what they are doing and know how to be clean. My rate stars but I have to put something so all they get is 1 star.

When I first got to Cuatro Gallos, I was expecting Isidro’s Tacos. But, it was even better! I ordered three tacos with rice and beans, and it did not disappoint. The tacos were well stuffed with meat that wasn’t gristly. Also, the rice was moist, and the beans were tasty. Another thing I’m sure Isidro’s customers miss is it’s amazing horchata, but the new restaurant has horchata that is equally great. Lastly, the service was really quick, I got my food in less than 10 minutes. If you drive by, and see that the owners changed, don’t detour away, stop by today!

I hate to leave this review but I’m hoping this place changes the way they cook and/or save people from purchasing what I did. 1st time I ate here, had the street tacos, beans and rice and it was pretty good and fresh which is why I added a star. This time I ate here, I can only give it one star. Ordered to go and got a chimichanga and they fry it with the lettuce inside. Nobody wants hot soggy lettuce inside a chimichanga. EVERY place I’ve ever ate at has always put the lettuce, sour cream and fixings on a separate plate. Here they add guacamole and sour cream on top as well which is hot and curdled. I was suppose to get beans with my meal and didn’t. The chips were stale. They hurt my teeth so bad biting into the chips. The only good thing was the cheese dip. My entire meal was thrown away. I couldn’t even stomach to continue eating. Lots of money down the drain and this place is too expensive to not get food you can’t even eat. I won’t be returning.
