Finally visited this place after so many years living nearby. I was seated quickly, but for some reason it took a bit of time before the waitress came over to take my order. Another minute and I was ready to walk out. However, she was super sweet and prompt from then on.

This place has such a small-town feel to it, I love it. The food is always absolutely delicious and no matter what you get here, you’re going to love it. I always get sourdough bread toast, so I’ve had my share of sourdough bread toast but the sourdough bread toast HERE is my absolute favorite. It’s perfect and soft and ridiculously delicious. The eggs and the pancakes are super fluffy and they always have a good list of creative daily specials that don’t disappoint. Not to mention, the price point is incredibly reasonable.

Delicious food! The only bad thing about going here is having to pick just one thing to order! I got the strawberry pancakes with whipped cream on my first visit and they were perfectly cooked with fresh, ripe berries. The coffee was good a well. The servers were friendly and attentive, this will be my go to breakfast place any time I am in Simi.

I love the food here. It’s consistently good. It’s always the same. I’ve had the corned beef hash, the chicken fried steak, the eggs Benedict, and now the pork breakfast tacos. All delicious!! The only downsidea are, you’ll likely have to wait for a table if you go after 930am, and the noise level in the restaurant is always so loud, I usually leave with the start of a headache. But the food and the service make it worth it!!

The morning wait for a table at this restaurant was over an hour. I’m disappointed to say that I did not enjoy my meal due to it being tasteless. The so called salsa consisted of large chunks of stewed can tomatoes thrown on top of my eggs. Another 2 plates of eggs at our table were not cooked and had globs of raw egg whites that were inedible. It was very difficult to get the attention of our server before and during the meal. Three out of five of our silverware sets were disgustingly dirty with food and needed to be replaced. I let my server know that I could not eat my meal because it was not prepared well and unappetizing. She offered me a to go box and placed our check on the table. I do not plan to frequent this restaurant again.

I have an issue when I go to a restaurant and order hash brown potatoes, and always ask if they cook them in butter, and they cook them with oil, so requested to be cooked in butter. When the food was delivered to the table, I immediately saw that the hash browns were cooked and put aside of the grill to keep warm, which is the way a lot of places do, to get the food out faster, same with bacon. These hash browns were so flat and crispy that I left them on the side. They never were cooked in butter. Food should be cooked to order, not left on the side. This a pet peeve of mine. Will I go back another time? Absolutely not. I brought it to the attention of the server
