Best African food in Frederick! Portion size is great and the flavor of every item is impeccable. I’ve been eating here for a few years but hadn’t been there since the pandemic. Craved them my entire pregnancy but always craved them when they were closed lol. Finally went there today and ordered cassava stew and peanut butter stew both with FuFu. It was my first time getting fufu from this particular place and when I tell you the portion they give you, you won’t get at any other spot! This was my toddlers first time having African food and he loved it. Will definitely come back. Tip: place your order ahead of time giving yourself an hour or so to get there. They make everything from scratch so be patience with them. Most who have complained about the wait times must not be familiar with African food. Perfection takes time!

I have eaten at LeMandigue several times over the past few years. I have not had one disappointing dish, and I’ve had just about everything on the menu. Every time I try a different restaurant, no matter where I am in the country, I’m sorely disappointed. Beware, if this is the first place you try African cuisine, you will be ruined for any other. Me and my husband eat here at least 1 month or every other month this was the first African food place I’ve ever tried and it is the best jollof rice with chicken omg my kids love it to 9 year old and 15 year old

I’ve never had african food before but this place has changed my life . Never thought african food was so great! They give a large amount of it too! I would take that jolif rice over any chinese, korean or hibachi style of rice anyday! The hot sauce they offer is a must! Very flavorful and its a one of a kind! Highly advise

I went with my boyfriend last night on the way home from Catoctin. The menu had an extensive vegetarian section, and the food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the okra soup (be sure to ask for hot sauce to add to it), the red beans and rice (richly scented and subtly spiced), and the veggie patty. The owners were very friendly.
