We are visiting in the area and stopped for lunch. My friend had grilled ham and cheese with tater tots and I have the juicy burger and fries. I used the smoky salad dressing to dip my fries. It was all very good and the service was great.

I have been coming to Richard’s Restaurant for almost 50 years. And no I’m not retired yet! LOL Anyways this restaurant was the first place I tried Biscuits and Gravy (I was 4 years old) and I have loved it ever since! I’ve lived in Florida since 1979 but every time I come to Fort Wayne I stop in for breakfast. This particular location always makes my breakfast ON POINT! Light hash browns are light and crispy hash browns are dark. The biscuits and gravy are fresh and homemade and have stayed the same since I first tried them. I have had biscuits and gravy all over the US and these are unique with a different flavor and sausage and I absolutely love them. Simple but perfect. When I come there are usually so many regular customers there (I usually sit in their seat – oops) and I understand why. I also usually call ahead the day before and have a Rhubarb pie ordered to take with me. Richard’s is known for them and my family loves them. Though several locations have closed over the years, I hope to keep coming back here for years to come.

First time going and sadly disappointed. My husband and I met for lunch. Food was great but service wasn’t. Older crowd and quiet clean environment. Waitress was timely, short and to the point which is fine but after we placed our orders, waitress came back with food and the check and then never saw her again. We wanted to try the great cheesecake I’ve been told about, however was ignored as 2 waiter & waitress walked around us often never making eye contact. Felt quite unwelcomed. When checking out bare minimal interaction almost like she didnt want to speak to us? I brought up missing out on dessert because we never got checked on which she excused away by the “large party” in the back. There were 3 small tables occupied if you count ours and several employees. Guess we’ll find another lunch spot! Wish service was as good as food. A smile and a good experience goes a long way if you want repeat customers.

I think waitress was new? However she was nice. Food okay, pork special was dry. Main problem water was very bad (wife and I are not pop drinkers) waitress bought other waters but same bad taste…..I thought the food had some taste? Nothing to do with rating…As others stated we are low 60ish and youngest folks there.

It was good. I got The Sampler, which consists of 2 eggs, toast, 2 pieces of bacon, piece of ham, piece of sausage, potatoes and pancakes. My husband and I share pancakes (that is our dessert)

We were stopped for the night at the Holiday Inn Express next door and stopped in for dinner. The prices are amazing and the food was really good. I appreciated the portion sizes not being oversized. I had the liver an onions with mashed potatoes and added a garden salad. My husband had the pulled pork special with mashed potatoes and green beans. We shared a yummy apple dumpling. Our server (Kylie, I think) was a gem!

I walked in at noon on a Wednesday. Was the youngest by 20 in the whole place. I ordered a skillet and was not impressed. Place was old and looked dated and dirty. Not for me. I did enjoy the sweet tea!
