Very enjoyable dinner and an understandably popular restaurant. We arrived 6pm on a Wednesday evening and there were maybe 2 tables free. There was space at the sushi bar. We both had beer (Kirin, Sapporo) and were brought miso soup. We started with takoyaki and monkey brain. Takoyaki feel less common but they were good. I ordered various ngiri (blue fin, king salmon, mackerel, scallop, red crab and tamago) and my friend had the salmon mania roll. We really enjoyed the good. Service was really good. The restaurant has a good vibe and is in the buzzy Issaquah Highlands.

This place does such a great job! We come here when we want to enjoy the absolute BEST sushi. They have rice-free sushi made with veggies, and if possible, it has even more flavor! Everything is prepared with exquisite attention to detail. Way to go, AJI!!

It was a quaint restaurant. I’m not sure if the heat was broken b/c they had a heater by the front door and it was pretty chilly inside. I ordered the caterpillar, it is not the same as the picture in the menu. They said that chef was not in that night. They did bring out warm miso soup with water right away, which was very kind. The service was pretty quick being it was pretty packed for a Wednesday night. My friend ordered the bibimbap, it was fantastic. Overall it was a good experience.

Brought a first-timer to a sushi restaurant and this place created a sushi lover for life! My daughter and I sat at the sushi bar and watched as they made the rolls. Everything was delicious!!!! Good portions, reasonable prices, lovely atmosphere, friendly service. This place was perfect!

Yum! Inside is a lot bigger than what it seemed from outside. Very friendly service. Great selection of different kinds of Japanese food. Food came very quickly and presentations were very unique. Portion was very very great, but the best part was qualify of ingredients and the actual tastes and prep. Very fresh and generous pieces of sushi. Udon had extremely tasty soup. Miso soup were provided as complementary starter – impressed overall.

We were a party of 10 and got an amazing service and top notch food quality. The fish was fresh and delicious and serving size was perfect. The main cooked dishes are big so I would recommend sharing. Rolls were perfect and our favorite was Red and White. Personally I prefer sashimi and absolutely loved salmon, tuna and yellowtail. My wish is that they would offer it individually so I can sample more. The waiters are absolutely amazing, super attentive and just wonderful. This is a 5 star restaurant, highly recommend!

They didn’t make me feel bad at all, had it ready in 40 minutes, and all orders were correct. We stopped by at a slower lunch time and were sitted right away. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. Our food was delicious, but the portions were small for the price. It would probably be $30 per person plus tip and tax for a more adequate lunch there.

This is a great place for sushi and other cuisine. The miso is tasty and they have a variety of vegetarian options. We love the yam role. They also have a nice kids menu that has good teriyaki. Overall, great place to eat.
