My wife used to come here regularly when she worked in Santa Barbara. We returned ~7 years later and their sandwiches are just as good as she remembers them. Highly recommend the grilled cheese with tomato bisque, but their other sandwiches are great too. Staff and atmosphere are friendly too!

Had a super good turkey chipotle sandwich with bacon! The turkey was fresh and tasty! Spicy and tossed salad was also very good! Not too much spice which I liked! Highly recommend Pickles and Swiss on State Street!

We stopped in for the first time yesterday looking for a clean and safe place to eat while moving our daughter back

The slowest sandwich place I have ever been to. There were two people ahead of me and I waited 30 minutes for my order. They were not organized at all. I saw my sandwich completed and sitting there for 5 minutes but they told me I had to wait until they took a few more orders. I will absolutely not be back here and wouldn’t recommend.

Delicious hot sandwiches. For originalists, you can have the extra ingredients taken out of any of the sandwiches. For pioneers, enjoy those extra flavors and textures.

Had a Reuben made to order. It was excellent and had a unique kick to it. The service was friendly and fast. The outdoor dining atmosphere was also great. An overall excellent experience. We will be back next time we are in Santa Barbara.

We had 2 of the vegetarian sandwiches, and honestly they were the best sandwiches we have ever had, the veggie boom and the hot veggie malta melt pannini with olives, mozzarella and tomatoes, so so good

BEWARE DO NOT GO. I ordered a pastrami sandwich yesterday and it had TWO thin slices of meat for $17. You get more meat at Subway. Prior reviews show great sandwiches, not sure if employees have changed, but it is a RIP OFF.

It’s located just off State Street, down a cute little alley. The alley provided outdoor seating so we could go during COVID-19, which was awesome. Overall, the environment was stellar and the food was good. The Reuben was killer, the wraps were amazing, the Au Jus dipping was actually our least favorite. The sauce was more like the drippings of the roast beef rather than an authentic Au Jus. Kids menu was great, and the drink selection was just right. In terms of service, they were quick and we waited under 10 minutes for dinner on Saturday evening. I would recommend this place.

I waited 45 mins for my food, but I told myself that it was more fresh, but was I wrong not only was the food astronomically atrocious the shop was also smaller than a public bathroom stall. I ordered the grilled cheese and it was so burned it was like flour and butter burned. Not to mention it was way over seasoned I would not recommend the food here. The workers on the other hand were friendly and very helpful! There was also no space to eat and there was no clean tables.
