The Wendell Cheesesteak was honestly one of the best tasting cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. My only complaint is that for $15 it felt a little stingy on the meat, but the flavor was so good I still wasn’t disappointed.

The good: they’re open again! The Blueberry Mint Margarita (although it’s WAY too small) and Cucumber Mint Mule are fantastic. There’s a different daily special Tuesday-Saturday. The Sweet Onion Teriyaki Roll is pretty good. Decent bourbon selection available.

I hate to do this to a small business but I just left. The food was inedible and cold, the drinks took forever to get to us and I didn’t see my server for a solid 20-30 minutes. I understand that a kitchen can be behind and there are more people than usual. But when the food is cold, it’s just sat in a window too long. There was a blonde female that was working that came across as intoxicated she wasn’t our server but it was obvious as she struggled to get through a sentence to the table next to us. Our server took 50% off of our tab which still was us paying full price for 2 beers as well as 1 drink which the second drink was gross according to my wife. My son finished his burger and complained of a stomach ache after and said his burger was cold but he was hungry. So I paid $36 for 2 beers and 1 drink essentially my son ate his burger like it was dog food because it took an hour and a half to get our food. Should have just bought a 6 pack stayed at the house and not spent an hour and a half waiting for food. At Smithfield’s now and will spend $10 on food without a miserable experience.

It’s Friday night, our four kids are away for the evening, and we decided to take a walk down to the newly reopened Farmers and Merchants for an impromptu dinner date.

Farmers and Merchants has all the ear marks of that cozy, familiar, wonderful community bar and restaurant. The food we ordered was certainly very good, and it was served hot right off the grill/oven… very fresh. However, there wasn’t enough of any entree to justify the price; portions were a bit small. We went on a Friday evening, right around 6:00pm, and while we didn’t have to wait for a table, the dining area was fairly full. Unfortunately, the staff are overly slow and don’t seem to be too concerned with making sure everyone has what they need/want in a timely manner. Overall, our opinion is that while it’s good food, we won’t be back. BTW… they won’t serve a burger cooked any less than medium WELL; a huge point of contention for this medium rare burger lover.

Restaurant has new management and the food and service was great! We loved the cheesesteak, cheese curds and chilli shrimp. Ask for Kimmy! Check them out!

Took my teenage boys for lunch today. The good was great and the staff was very friendly. We love walking to downtown to check everything out and this is a great addition.

Wendell has been starving for quality dining venues for over a year now and unfortunately, they still are.

Tonight met up with a coworker who has become family at this great restaurant. Sat at the bar and was served by Ashley. Ashley makes a great drink (lavender lemonade with vodka) and the food was phenomenal. Ashley was pleasant to speak with and also made great suggestions on food and drinks. Atmosphere is awesome. They play a great selection of music and you’re still able to have a great conversation with the person you came with. Highly recommend you visit this nice establishment that is 30 minutes from downtown.

Our first time here. Mixed drinks were weak, food was decent, probably won’t be back. Also didn’t like having 3 different servers during 1 meal and being charged 3.5% when paying with debit card.
