This place is one of the all-time great eateries in Memphis. It’s an institution of sorts and has been serving up amazing, family-style, homemade Italian food for decades. In some ways this place is a throwback with Sinatra-style music and the rich, dark decor. They’ve added a bar since the last renovation, as well.

I was there for the Celebration of Life after my father’s funeral. My cousins & I ordered a few appetizers & they were delicious! The stuffed mushrooms were the best! Too bad there isn’t a location in Clarksville, TN, I’d be a regular. I don’t go back to Memphis unless I really have to.

Old school Italian. Not some shiny perfect chain, original Italian. The kind of place where the same people and their families have been eating for 50 years. The dinners are great. They come with the main course plus two sides such as spaghetti or pizza or spinach or whatever, you get it. This matches anything that St Louis has to offer in Italian food, plus it was these folks who migrated to St louis at some point…it all starts here! I would not go anyplace else!

They took FOREVER to even greet us at our table. Meanwhile we watched a waiter try to pick up a couple of college girls instead of working. But once we FINALLY got our order taken, it was prepared quickly. Food was mediocre at best. Portions were semi-small. Overall quality was just, not great. Unfortunate.
