Had been wanting to try this place here at their new location. Is it possible to say that a restaurant is fun? I truly had fun during my visit. They had someone singing songs in the background who wasn’t over powering and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was so kind and welcoming and took time to offer her suggestions regarding various options on the menu. I chose the Shrimp Poboy and my wife the blackened chicken. Both were very good but I have to say the blackened chicken was amazing. I enjoyed mine but almost wish I had gotten the chicken. We came in time for the tail end of happy hour and their house margarita on tap all be them strong we’re delicious. With great food and surroundings I would highly recommended this place to anyone.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Cajun Steamer location. Great service, vast choices in Cajun dishes with reasonable prices for the quality of their food. And with their Cajun style atmosphere, it’s definitely worth the stop to try. Will be returning to try their other dishes before we move.

This restaurant in a strip mall seems popular with locals. I had the fried Grouper and a side of red beans and rice. The food came out pretty quickly. Everything was a bit heavy for my taste. The local beer was good. There are TV if needed and outdoor seating. My sense is that this is a happening place, that will get loud as the night goes on.

If you want a taste of Louisiana in Alabama….PLEASE visit this place!!! The staff are amazing, the food is amazing, the activities are amazing, and the drinks are strong 🙂 A special thanks to my waitress Alex, it was my first time there and she took the time to explain the menu to me.

The service was great, the food was phenomenal, and everything came in a timely manner. My only complaint is that it needs more customers! I’m genuinely shocked they aren’t more popular. We came on a Sunday night, and having worked a restaurant myself, they were dead for a Sunday without rain. If you’re on the fence about eating here, hop off the fence. We’re definitely coming back! Might be a date night staple.

My food was great, but due to poor service I didn’t get to eat much of it. I waited around 35 minutes for pasta. It was around lunchtime and honestly, I expected service to be a little quicker. My server never gave an update or acknowledged that the wait was a little long for a table of 1. I was getting ready to walk out when she finally brought the food. I asked for a to go container. She brought it, took my payment, and disappeared. Of course the lid did not fit the to go container and my server was nowhere in sight. So I asked someone else for another one. She proceeded to place her entire chest on top of the container in an attempt to force it close before finally admitting the lid truly did not fit. She said she would get another one but never came back. I saw her delivering food to another table a few minutes later. I had to return to work so I left the food on the table. It was a bad experience. I think I’ll just get fast (or faster) food next time.

Red beans and rice was outstanding. Got fried grouper fingers for main course. Wouldn’t call them “fingers” was surprised the pieces of grouper were wafer thin mostly cornmeal. Expected like most places to get a thicker piece of fish. Had live music and service was excellent.

Tried dining there 3-4 times. The staff is friendly and it had a nice atmosphere to hang out. However, the cooks need to learn moderation with the cajun spices. I love cajun food, but every dish is simply overwhelmed by heavy-handed use of the spice to the point where all the dishes are basically indistinguishable. No subtlety in flavor whatsoever.
