Hi everyone this is 2 guys on the road again this time I took the road with my son Thomas and we went to Seattle, then we took the ferry across the Puget sound to Bainbridge and we found this little spot call Burger haus Also call Hitchcock like it says on the top. We got a very fast and nice service. I gotta say that I was Surprise of the flavour profile of these food even if we got your Burger sandwich they were amazing, even the ice tea Unsweeted was really Flavorful and It was really Strong. my Burger was a Wagyu Burger, it was 28 days age beef And my son have the chicken sandwich, it was made out of thigh, not the chicken breast, juicy and a great Chrisp. This burgers and chicken sandwich didn’t come with a side so we order separate sides Herbed fries and German potato salad. The fries were crispy and flavorful and came with a side of ketchup but a home made ketchup not the one that you buy in the store, The German potato salad was a mix of smalle potatoes, bacon, herbs and venagret, serve hot, it was good in a small measures but to eat the whole plate actually it was a little overwhelming with the flavour of the venagret, great!! the flavour was good in a small portions We definitely will come back if we are in the area and I always can do a trip to the area because Mora ice cream is in the area.. and I can always get some Mora.

Best vegan burger I’ve ever had made out of polenta. The drinks were alright but the pretzel and fries weren’t so good. I would definitely recommend the vegan burger though!

First time to eat at Burgerhaus while visiting a friend on Bainbridge. We were able to eat outside and the food came out quickly and hit the spot. The menu is small but well curated with a nice variety. I really enjoyed the spatzel & schnitzel (photo attached) and the other two had the chicken sandwiches with sides of the herbed fries. We’ll definitely return when on the island.

I’m a second generation chef of 25 years. And in my professional opinion this was one of the best burgers I have ever had. The German inspired dishes and sauces are perfect. The portions are reasonable. We got to sit next to the kitchen and I was extremely impressed to see that all of the side dishes are cooked in cast iron skillets with in what seemed to be a stone oven. If you have never eaten from seasoned cast iron pans, you just aren’t living life right. I see alot of people complaining about the value of this place and I can understand, but if you are not familiar with Bistro style dining this is standard.

Good saggy burger, fries were excellent, fish sandwich also had good spice to it. I enjoyed the selection of German bottled beers. The overall was about 4.5 stars which is much better than the 3.5 that was currently showing as the average of other reviews.

This was a terrible disappointment. Hitchcock has a reputation for excellent food and I was expecting that. I ordered to go a “smash burger, two patties and fries. The burger was lifeless and limp with almost no vegetables that I could see. It was barely Luke warm and I was there within 8 minutes of ordering. It was saturated with sauce to the point that it made the bun soggy. The fries were greasy and super salty. The price was premium about $30 + tip including a drink. The burger was not even as good as a McDonalds (which I think is the worst burger in town). Sorry, Burgerhause, you lost my business and unfortunately I can not recommend. My hope is that you will take this opportunity to look at your burger and improve so people want to return.

Great service, fun environment and good food. A pretty limited menu and small portions.

While the take out service was quick for a weekend dinner hour and we didn’t have to wait an hour like other places in Winslow, our fries were cold, half cooked, and felt like they had been sitting around under a heat lamp for longer than they should have. The chicken added onto my salad was heavily salted with rock salt and unappetizing. We threw away the chicken and the fries which was sad and half our meal. With the Hitchcock name attached to the establishment, we expected a much higher quality.

Overall, just OK. We’re in this funky place in the world and Covid has really changed all of our experiences. Typically a normal restaurant experience here, but in Covid times you order at the counter and the servers spring your food to you. But you have to get your own water if you want it. As our server delivered our food we asked for silverware and napkins – she said we had to go inside and grab them from a bin. It’s a typical silverware tray that everybody was reaching into, so I don’t think that lives up to sanitary standards. Gross. Otherwise, We sat down and really enjoyed the great meal. Excellent burger and the beer cheese with the pretzel was delicious.

As a vegetarian, I love trying vegetarian and vegan burgers at all burger places and when I found The Burgerhaus, I was excited to try it. But to my dismay, once I got my burger and tried it, it wasn’t very good. The appearance of the burger itself looked frozen and uncooked. I decided not to judge it by its looks and try it. Yeah no… it tasted as bad as it looked. To all the vegan and vegetarians out there, I would not recommend the Burgerhaus.
