The historic building of the Star Lounge was a social gathering ground for almost one hundred years. Our Midtown Sacramento Lounge carries on the tradition of being a community incubator of creativity, an oasis of thought, and a great place to unwind. A place for all to come together and celebrate the arts, music, food, and a great cocktail. We are located on the 3rd floor of the Hyatt House.

Historic Star Lounge is located in the Hyatt House in Midtown and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this gem. I had a date night here and from the moment we walked in the hostess checked us in and sat us right away. I would recommend making reservations as I was told it can get crowded later on.

This little bar inside the hotel was a recommendation from another bartender in Napa. The place was so cute walking in, and walking up the stairs to the lounge had a great feel! We found a little corner table and we were approached by a server right away. He was friendly and funny and made fantastic drink recommendations. The cocktails were fantastic, the crowd was lively, and the ambiance was perfect for a pre-dinner drink! I would definitely recommend this place.

This will become Sacramentos hot spot very soon. I went on Valentine’s Day with a few single friends. We had a blast. The food was amazing. I heard the Chef is coming from The Sawyer! I ordered a bottle of great red for under $50. The group ordered a few cocktails, the reviews were a little mixed on the cocktails.

Star Lounge has become my go-to spot for happy hour and girls night this year. The valet is so convenient and easy. It’s lovely to watch the sun go down on Sutter’s Fort from this incredible historically piece of Sacramento. Delicious appetizers, entrees and creative drinks.

I saw an IG post a few weeks ago that gave high reviews on a dining experience at Star Lounge. I made reservation to take my sister for a birthday dinner. The Lounges historical charm did not disappoint, it is inviting and intimate. When I arrived we were asked to sit at the bar due to private party still clearing out. We sat ourselves at small table. As we waited the server brought us water which was warm, on a 90 degree Sacramento day and the glasses were un clean with something floating around in the water. We brought this to the server attention and the water was replaced with the same issue. Within 5 minutes of arriving we decided to leave. I was stopped by the Maitre D’, and I informed him of what happened. He then replied, if he could get us clean glasses, which I responded that should have happened the first time. I really wanted the experience to be different and I was embarrassed that I took my sister for a birthday dinner to a restaurant that had little regard for cleanliness. Fine dining includes being served clean water. We still enjoyed a great dinner at another location around the “Corner” that provided prompt, service, friendly servers, clean glasses with cold water, custom drinks and tasty food.

The Star Lounge is not to be missed. Ryan greeted us offered us seating at a newly added table for our group of six. Since we were the first to use the new table, we were treated to champagne to christen it. Frank, our food server, joined the experience with outstanding service. The food and drinks were 5 star. Put the Star Lounge on your must visit list for a great night out!
