Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

I had been craving a tuna sub ALL DAY last Friday. I decided to try the Jersey Mike’s here in Middletown. Normally, I am a Capriotti’s fan. But, I wanted to try something different. First, I got two giant subs and it was almost $30!!! Yikes! But, I don’t care about price, if the food is good. Well, I get home (I only live 7 minutes away, per Google) and open my sub. All this moisture is on the paper. The bottom half of my sub bread is totally soggy!! Yuck! The tuna was actually tasty, but the soggy bun made the sandwich so gross. But at that price, I was going to eat it. The next day, of course, the bread was worse and I ended up throwing it away. My husband said that his cheese steak was mediocre. So very disappointing. A costly mistake.

Despite the mad pace of the dinner rush, they were so helpful and concerned. Good and friendly service, but ordered gluten free and was served on regular roll. Staff immediately made me a new sandwich, but others in my group had to wait for me. Unfortunately when I got home and tested with a Nima sensor, gluten was found. This is the second time I’ve had Jersey Mikes with a bad gluten experience. Would not recommend if you have Celiac disease or other serious gluten allergy

We ordered subs for pick up today for dinner at home. We have ordered from here many times and have had good ones and fair ones. Today we had the very best we have ever had. Everything tasted fresh and delicious with just the right amount of each ingredient. My husband gets his with oil and I don’t know what someone did differently today but it did not get soggy after sitting in our refrigerator for 3 hours. When I went in the worker must have been taking a break but she still acknowledged me and asked if I was there for a pick up… still working! I just wanted to write this review as wanted Jersey Mikes and the workers there…and customers…to know that this staff is doing a great job! Thanks!
