My wife and I are new to the region and we’re in the area. The aroma of grilled chicken lured us in from the parking lot and we were not disa3. Service was quick and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. My only complaint is the portions are colossal! Enough to take home and have a meal later. So i guess not much of a complaint after all.

I usually have a totally fine experience here. I’ve come plenty of times after work (Off at 8pm, they close at 9) with literally no issues. But tonight I am extremely disappointed. I order the chicken rice bowl all the time and have never received it like this before tonight. The rice and chicken I eventually found was cold. In the photo attached, I haven’t actually eaten any of it yet. I kept digging under the lettuce- not finding any rice. So I decided to remove it to see what the deal was. It’s about 80% lettuce and 20% chicken and rice. It’s a 25 minute drive for me to get home, so it’s not like I can just run back over there to deal with this. Mind you, my husbands food was still hot when I got home and settled. Seems like I got the absolute last bit they had lying around. My hope is that this is just a fluke. It just sucks when I spent the last 30 minutes looking forward to eating and this is what I got. I should also mention I called right at 8pm, and got there by 8:20pm.

Today was really bad. They didn’t have fries. The yuca was pale not well done. And parts of the Chicken look like wood. Maybe wasn’t from today. That supposed to be my family dinner. So I looked bad. I disappointed everybody.

Food tasted good as usual but this latest time my rice and beans side dish was all rice with a very thin layer of beans on top. The mix should be at least 75/25 rice to beans.

I had the best afternoon eating at Don Pollo Germantown, the food chicken with fries and salad was delicious, sauces were generous. Best of all, they have an outside dinning area and my little puppy was allowed. They even offered water for him. I will definitely come back! The best atmosphere!

Welp I’m done. I have been eating and ordering from here for the past 3 years and quality has gone down a lot. I ordered and whole chicken dinner last and the bird was completely burnt. I couldn’t even salvage the meat under the skin because it all taste burnt. I used to love this place but now they have lost a frequent customer. I could sort of understand if I ordered when they were closing but that was not the case. Not to mention that you could tell it was burnt by the look and smell of it. I think they served it because it was for delivery. Shame in you Don Pollo.

The food is okay. The real problem this place has is, the staff. They could use some training in costumer service. They don’t make you feel welcomed, in fact they seem upset if you come in half an hour before closing time! They start cleaning and putting all the chairs up, it makes you feel like they’re kicking you out. I’m sure the owners of this place are not aware the employees close up before the schedule closing time.

We tried the chaufa rice with chicken and the chicken bowl, we are not amazed, the taste was just ok. The portions are good though. Our food also was way too salty for our taste. Probably will try’s different location next time. The service was ok I will put someone to keep the chair and tables clean at all times.

This was my first time with Don Pollo and I made an online order. We’ll just that it was quite difficult to identify the dish names but since google is there was able to identify the equivalent and made the order. Loved the taste of the fried rice and especially their sauces . Loved the green sauce very much with the fried rice. My order had one chicken fried rice and plain fried rice . The name with pollox means chicken.
