This place is great. I couldn’t have been happier with the service, atmosphere and quality of food. I had the Hawaiian Burger and Poke Bowl. Absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back.

The Thai fried rice with chicken was the best I’ve ever had. The music was fun. The evening’s special pineapple fried rice with shrimp was also enjoyed. Pad Thai was very good.

I don’t really like to give negative reviews but I was so disappointed with this one. First Thai place to let us down so badly. The place is nice. My husband got the drunken noodles (very bland no spice, not even the hot sauces that were brought were spicy) and I got the special of the day shrimp lomein ( Very very bland.description and pictures showed it comes mixed with veggies, it didn’t have any). When I asked why it didn’t have veggies the waitress apologized that the cook was a temporary cook not the regular and that she could bring me steamed veggies on the side (when the bill arrived I was charged an extra $8 for the steamed veggies). My son had the poke salad and was disappointed with the size. My daughter had a curry dish which was really good. Overall expensive for what you get, very bland food (except for the curry) Thai tea was $9 shouldn’t have been charged for veggies that temp cook obviously forgot to add and would never visit again.

Best burgers in Kauai! The pastrami burger is my personal favorite but all of them are really delicious with great prices.

The service is good and they’re really accommodating but the food is not worth it at all. We paid around $160 thinking we would get good quality and delicious Thai food but we regret that decision especially the Tom yum soup. It barely had any shrimp, the bowl was small, and it was drowning in onions and huge chunks of tomatoes that if you put those chunks together it would literally form a whole tomato. The soup is like lukewarm and you can really tell that it’s been boiled over and over again by the taste of the shrimp. I honestly don’t recommend coming here.

Was there at happy hour, but wasn’t busy. Ordered the wings (good value, but just okay) and the spicy edamame. However, the main dishes were large portions but very bland. Would not recommend the drunken fried rice dish for the, it was just bad. The price must be because of the portions, but my feel is that they don’t rely on repeat customers and that’s okay for people who are doing pick-up, but I think it should be more flavorful than what came out. Never got my water refilled until we left.

This is a review of the Thai food at Bangkok Happy Bowl. It was a very busy Saturday and the staff were obviously busy and harried. The place was clean, and the napkins are heavy duty quality able to withstand the humidity. The menus were somewhat complicated – three different lunch menus. We were seated quickly to the bar, however while we were there it took other groups minutes to be greeted and seated and at least two groups gave up trying. We ordered basic drinks and my Thai Iced Tea was great – they were out of Thai Iced Coffee? We had two orders of Pad Thai (no question about spice level) and the Hawaiian Shrimp Curry (menu stated medium). We had a view of a busy kitchen but at one point the chef was irritated at the staff because the food was ready and not being served fast enough. The Pad Thai was cold and adequate. The Hawaiian Shrimp Curry was good and I enjoyed it, but spice level was mild. The prices did not at all match the quality. Our bar server was good, but also slinging drinks, so did the basics but didn’t check on us. The other staff appeared to be doing well for their tables but got into an argument in the middle of the floor that was super distracting and unprofessional. Pulling faces, swearing at each other. A third staff was obviously trying to smooth things over between these two. All this to say, each day in a restaurant is different and your experience may be exceptional service. But worth pointing out things seem a little off here. For the prices, you might consider elsewhere.
