Personally my favorite Indian restaurant in CT. Employees were very friendly and attentive! Taste is extraordinary. Spicy but flavorful. Recommend the mango lassi and the lamb vindaloo

This place is barely running and seems like it’s in its final days. There were two people working in the entire restaurant trying to host at least 10 tables. Almost a year ago the owner posted that there was a shortage of staff, but it’s been a long time since and post Covid staff shortage seems kinda old. We waited AN HOUR to get our food that is supposed to be the on-table buffet. Eventually, we gave up and walked out. The staff was also rude and unfriendly when we asked about our order. They said they have no control over how much time the kitchen takes to prepare our order – that’s when literally EVERYONE was having the same food since that’s the definition of buffet. You’re not making one buffet each time a table orders.

Spice Palace has some of the best Indian food available! Lunch buffet was interesting in that your meal is served on a tray, with refills of menu items served “bottomless”. The Chicken Tikka Marsala was excellent as were the accompaniments. I just don’t think I will visit again for lunch, at $20, it’s a little too steep for lunch. Was good though!

We had lunch at the restaurant and the food was good. There were 4 of us .However the service needs a lot of improvement. Sat at the table a while before the manager came to take our orders. We had questions on a couple of dishes but the Manager was honest and said he was new so did not have an answer and would have to talk to the cook. Many items in the menu were unavailable when ordered. Our orders took forever to be served and one of the order was not correct. So to get that fixed took a while. As we ate we overheard other people and seemed that each table had some issue or another.

Overall – outstanding Indian restaurant. The lamb vindaloo, garlic naan, and wings were absolutely delicious. I ordered level 5 and actually received a very spicy dish that packed a punch, so that’s a huge plus. Typically at other Indian restaurants I’ve ordered “very spicy” and gotten barely any spice, but not here!

Food at this place has been amazing but the owners/ managers need to do a much better job with the service. Sat for 10 mins listening to the teens at the front gossip before we had to drag one over to our table to take our order. I would only recommended for take out.

I have visited this place a couple of times, and undoubtedly the food is great. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the bill that included $2 for take out option. I hesitantly paid and when got home, one of the containers broke and the food spilled everywhere.

The mini lunch buffet is a great deal. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala and frankly I was too full to go for a second curry. Truly enjoyed the Indian Tomato soup, and the rice pudding.

cute dimly lit Indian restaurant with traditional music and a small menu. no clue what i ordered, it was a vegetarian dish though. barely finished the whole thing, it’s a giga meal they give you. but not a ‘buffet’ as labeled. think i spent $18 (tip included) on my one-person meal. one fly in the dining room but didn’t ruin the time. food was great and unique for the area, service was fast and amiable.
