I have to say, weather permitting, I often prefer patio dining, especially when it’s Friday, and you have nothing better to do but unwind and take it slow. This is a good place for that. Service is attentive, drinks and food are good and parking is easy. I chose seafood today, and each dish was perfect for my liking. Always a good restaurant to return to.

My family and I had a wonderful experience on the beautiful, spacious patio. The food was excellent…The ribeye was tasty and the octopus was so flavorful and soft. The garlic bread with the cheese fondue is a unique menu item and not worth skipping. They weren’t cheap with the lobster on the lobster roll. Great, attentive service. I will certainly be back!

I want to start out by saying that I love this place. My boyfriend and I have been there several times and the food is good and the outdoor seating is really nice. We were just there this past week…I ordered a salad with steak tips, and he ordered one of the specials that was told to us by the waiter, what he called a surf and turf. It was a steak with seafood risotto. The waiter didn’t mention the prices when he listed the specials, and we didn’t ask…it’s usually not a concern there. The food was good as usual. It was when we got the check that things changed. The steak special was $60.00!!! We questioned the waiter, he went back and checked on it and said it was right. The mistake we made was not asking to talk to the manager. We begrudgingly paid the bill and complained all the way home. And now we don’t want to ever go back. My advise….check your bills and question any crazy charges!

Recently we had lunch here. A restaurant in a historical Victorian house itself is fascinating already. The setting of the restaurant provides an intimate and cozy vibe, as if we were invited to a private home. Although the selection during the lunch time was not large, the food all came out very delicious and flavorful. The service was super friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back, especially during the summer time to enjoy the patio dining experience.

Lucky Lou’s has a fantastic atmosphere inside and outside. Went for lunch at 12:30 on a Tuesday and it was fairly crowded. .Service was quick and really friendly. Fish Tacos had great flavor. You only get 2, but the amount of fish in each was good enough. Tartar sauce and chipotle yogurt in the tacos is a perfect pairing to cod fish. Chicken Gyro was big size and tasted good. Not the same as a Lamb Gyro, but nonetheless was very good. Like everything else these days it was a bit pricey for lunch but the quality of food, service and atmosphere was all worth it.

We had such a great time here on a Friday afternoon. Sat on the patio with our dog who very much enjoyed the steak medallions and veggies from the doggy menu. The owner and/or manager greeted us very kindly upon arrival. The patio section was great, staff were extremely friendly, service was great and the food was the best I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be coming back here.

I have eaten at Lucky Lou’s a number of times since moving to the area. I have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, which is why my meal last evening was such a disappointment. I had the surf ‘n turf special. The steak was decent, but the shrimp orzo was less than stellar. It had a metallic taste, and the shrimp were small and tasted as if they had come from a can. I’m hoping that was not the case. Additionally, the meal was overpriced based on the quality. Given my past experiences at the restaurant, I’m hoping last night’s meal was an anomaly.

We stop here every year from Annapolis, MD on way to Maine. Lovely atmosphere on large dog friendly patio! Service is always great as is the food. Very accommodating to our pooch. They really go out of their way to make you comfortable while enjoying Mediterranean inspired delicious food.

Wanted to have lunch somewhere new. Who doesn’t love downtown historical Wethersfield????? Pleasantly surprised. They open right at noon and when I arrived there was a line waiting for the opening. They got everyone seated quickly. Loved the patio which is quite large. Nice space between tables so you don’t hear the conversation of the next table. I had the quacamole burger/medium. It was perfect. Fries were just right. They did have a nice bar menu but had ice tea. I had to still deal with clients after lunch on a Friday. I’ll be back!
