Rebel Dog was one of the first tenants to move in to this new development from Goodwin University. The Main/Ensign development is the first building among many of Goodwin’s master plan that will cover two miles of East Hartford riverfront property.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast and was pretty disappointed. The bad experience started with the cashier who was either in a bad mood or had an immediate vendetta against us. She never smiled, made any small talk, and snapped when we asked a clarifying question while ordering. On top of that our sandwiches were made with no love and quite lazily. My son’s “blueberry” muffin had no blueberries. The coffee was pretty good at least but I doubt we will return for the other reasons mentioned.

Good cold brew and phenomenal apple fritters. I don’t know who made the fritters, but they’re amazing and should let that person bake more. The eggs Benedict and bagels are fine, but the prices are high for what you get. The place is very large for a coffee spot so there probably won’t be an issue finding a seat. Be careful when paying, the tip menu starts at 25% and only goes down to 18% if you don’t put in a custom amount.

We were looking for a coffee shop in the area. We were going to be staying around town for a week. The idea was to try a few and see which place we liked best. Well we fell in love with this place. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the coffee has been excellent and the breakfast sandwiches I’ve tried are great. I’ve stopped looking for another coffee shop.

Rebel Dog Coffee is a must in East Hartford or if you’re near by. The food is always fresh. Amazing breakfast and lunch options. Even if there is a crowd I never have to wait long for my order at all. It’s my new little go to spot to get a good meal and do some work or read. Parking is in the back so look out for the signs. Pricing is pretty fair & the bartistas are phenomenal. I would definitely recommend coming here.

Simply love coming here. Very quiet, neat, spacious. You can sit at any table and there’s an outlet next to you. Most of the people that go there go to study, work, or chill. The food is phenomenal. Best coffee I’ve had. Breakfast sandwich is off the hook!!! The staff is also very friendly.

The food and coffee is very high quality and tastes great. Definitely try their Oaxaca Eggs Benedict, one of the best Benedict’s I’ve had in recent memory. Location is nice and clean with bar and table seating. Would be a great spot for brunch, studying, or drinks before heading out.
