Fantastic spot right on the edge of the center of town. Service was superb–friendly, attentive, and helpful. Food was fantastic. Fish fresh and perfectly cooked, everything season nicely. Exactly what you hope for when eating out on Nantucket.

The food and service at American Seasons is always excellent! This is our date night place every summer. Try the burrata, the snow pea salad, the fluke and the ribeye!! The dishes were delicious, creative and we’ll balanced. I’ll be dreaming about how I could recreate them. The staff was friendly and calm amidst the 4th of July chaos of tourists in town. If you’d like a quiet meal with a significant other or group of friends this is your place!! A Nantucket classic that hasn’t been ruined by the changing atmosphere on our beloved island. Bravo to the chef and the team!!

We felt rushed when seated. The restaurant wasn’t close to full capacity. The food was above average. The toast sour dough bread was burned to black on one side. The side turned down. Mixed feelings about giving it another try. Lovely location just on the edge of town.

Cozy, warm, rustic Nantucket, off the tourist beat but well known locally with super friendly staff and outstanding American cuisine. The prices are fair for the area and for the food and service quality. I had the pork shoulder which was nicely sized, expertly prepared, and flavorful but not overwhelmingly spiced (as some restaurants do). My wife had the scallops with an amazing sauce that perfectly complimented the scallops. Be aware though that they are still slammed by lack of staff so be prepared to relax and enjoy a calm and paced evening. Big call out to Bridget your server who kept her calm and friendly manner about her even though clearly stressed, as she also had to fill in for the host who was missing this evening. Minus one star, though, for the management who was completely missing in action, and who could have come around to greet and apologize for the delays (we and others had to wait about 30 minutes past our reservation time to get seated, and one couple was even threatened with a $50/person service charge for cancellation when they inquired earlier in the evening!). However, these being extraordinary times as the season on Nantucket is just wrapping up, we will certainly give them another try next season!

Delicious meal, based on fresh ingredients especially great seafood, fun cocktails (as fans of Depeche Mode we particularly like The Pêche Mode!), and excellent service. Yes, it’s pricey, but this is Nantucket and American Seasons is a worthy landmark on the island. Highly recommended.

Great cocktails and great food! I highly recommend. Pricey and the portions are small but the food and presentation were very good. I had the seasonal Rhubarb Cocktail and the Arctic Char

An amazing experience! From the minute one enters the staff is gracious and accommodating, never intrusive. The atmosphere is captivating, best of all the food is sublime, presentation is spectacular. Not to be missed. Neil is a culinary genius and genuine host. If you are lucky enough to have Michael as your server your experience will be unforgettable. Make your reservation now!

We went to this restaurant with high hopes based on the glowing reviews across multiple platforms. Unfortunately, the food was nowhere close to the price you pay, nor the excitement we had to eat here. The chicken was dry, the halibut overcooked. The saving grace was the appetizer (duck egg) which was the only highlight of a lackluster meal.

I had not been to American Seasons since it changed ownership. Last night I had a fantastic experience. The hostess was incredibly pleasant. I was immediately seated which I love. Now that restaurants seat people at the bar, it’s impossible to get a drink and it’s awkward hovering over the people dining at the bar. Being seated promptly is a plus.
