Gus’s Hot Dogs has been a small town favorite for locals for years. Gus’s is a great spot to grab lunch for the family! Everything on the menu is tasty, but the Gus dog is where it’s at. All they need to make it better is extended hours & outdoor seating options.

I first want to say . Gus Hot dogs made me feel so special. I wasn’t sure because it was a lot of white people even the other customers were great . I wish everyone in the world treated each other so nice. Stepping into the restaurant is a beautiful safe haven. Thank you guys I pray God Bless you. Now to the food . It literally taste like heaven Omg the hotdogs, hamburgers, fries , chips the tea and lemonade. I can’t wait to try other items. I felt good spending my money super fresh great quality. Do be discouraged if it’s busy it’s worth every dime.

Gus’ hot dogs is a great place to grab some hot dogs to go. My husband recently brought home a bag full of Gus’ slaw dogs which are good but they used to be so much better. Not 100% sure if they’ve changed the slaw recipe but there was a noticeable difference in the taste and the amount of slaw on the hot dogs. It’s a rather small restaurant meaning they can only accommodate a very limited amount of people that choose to dine in but they are really good at getting carry out orders prepared & out the door really quick. You will most definitely have several people in line ahead of you when you walk in because people in Hueytown love Gus’, but I promise you that you will be in & out a whole lot quicker than most other restaurants in the area.

Best hotdogs in the south. Gus dogs have been a tradition for many years. Very limited seating inside so be prepared to wait or do like we do and take it to the parking lot and eat on your tailgate. Don’t get to stop very often but won’t pass up the opportunity when we pass.
