Being from Germany myself I was very excited to see that there was a new German restaurant so close to Canton Illinois. It’s in Farmington Illinois on Vernon Street just a small mom-and-pop restaurant. But I have to say the German food on their menu definitely reminds me of My Oma’s cooking

Very fresh and inviting environment. Temperature inside was very hot and uncomfortable. Service was prompt and friendly. Portion sizes were adequate, if not on the larger side. Food was fresh and hot. Pricing was decent.

I was super excited to hear we had a German restaurant opening close by. When we arrived we were not greeted so we took a seat. Service was slow due to only one wait staff present.

Great breakfast, plenty to fill you up, and great service. Can’t wait to try dinner.

Pretty good sandwich, and the service was excellent even though only one waitress was on duty.

Went for breakfast. Ordered biscuits and gravy. It was HORRIBLE! First my soda came luke warm (no fountain yet I was told) in a cup with a crack all the way down it. The biscuits were tough like shoe leather and the gravy was white water with the most minimal amount of sausage. Mom ordered toast. She got one slice!! We were told it’s because they use “good” bread and their prices were 40% below everyone else. With that food i can see why. Will NEVER return there again. Save your money. I’d give zero stars if I could.

We had breakfast this morning. Easy. Two orders of biscuits and gravy with some hash browns and an order of toast.

Food did not have much flavor. Need a lot more German food. Sauerkraut would be nice. Schnitzel was real thick, would be better thinner.
