Located towards the back of the restaurant, Mezcalero serves Mexican food that is on the pricier side, although it is relatively inexpensive for DC. The food has good flavor and their burritos are tasty, although I don’t know if they’re worth the price. I got the Sinaloa but I hear the other ones on the back of the menu are equally as good. The cocktail I received (El Diablo) was much too sweet and I’m unsure if I’ll be returning to this location.

Food and drinks are so good! Service is quick and friendly. We had the ceviche and the Molcajete and both were so good! Highly recommend.

The food is amazing here! Fresh vibrant flavors of Mexico. We just made our first visit and it won’t be our las. Looking forward to returning and trying more dishes. The service was excellent too, we sat at the bar where we could watch all that was going on both in the kitchen and in the market.

After going there for lunch with my baby and we asked for a high chair and they weren’t able to provide one, I happened to forgot a container with my Babie’s formula. When I called in the next morning they just said sorry; they threw it in the trash. I’m sorry but this is not what you do with an item being left behind, specially since it hasn’t been a whole 24 hours that this happened.

Was told my debit card didn’t work. Gave alternative credit card. Noticed few minutes after I left that both my bank and my credit card showed charges for the food. Returned and told the person of the issue. Right away she said no it was not processed twice and would not listen to me. This was despite showing her both my bank and credit card had the charge. I asked for receipt that showed my debit card was declined she said there was none. I told her there is always a decline slip. She said it was working on the machine, which made no sense. When I told her that clearly you have to see the two charges and I wasn’t making it up she put her hands in my face and told me to not yell, which I wasn’t yelling. Getting nowhere I left. My friend that I ate with said the same time happened to another friend he at with. Not surprisingly the money was taken out of my account and they also added an additional 16 dollars to my tab which I did not authorize. I would not go here and if you do make sure you don’t get double charge if they say one of your cards isn’t working. Also, check your bill to make sure extra money isn’t added later.

The food is delicious. I’ve had the Camarones de Diablo. The mussels. The steak. The salmon. All amazing. Services isn’t terrible, but could be stepped up. The drinks are also delicious. I would recommend to anyone

It took forever to get anyone to bring us a menu, it seemed like we were bothering them by ask where we could sit. Wouldn’t go back, food was alright, just not a type of place i will be visiting again.
