At our Boaz, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This hands down yhe best Captain D’s in the area. After our last Captain D’s experience(Oneonta,Al-horrible) we were hesitant. The staff was super nice and very attentive during our dine in lunch. The dinning area and bathrooms were clean and fully stocked. Cynthia, the cashier was Amazing-she is truly a gem! We will definitely be returning!

Employees apparently did not finish kindergarten. I ordered a 2 PC spicy fish with 6 butterfly shrimp…. waited 30 minutes for 1pc of fish and 4 shrimp. I can’t even make this mess up. Ridiculous!!!

Super service tonight. We was pulling a stock trailer and they had just closed their dinning area. When they seen is pull in, they opened the door for us to come in. Friendly service, food was hot, quick and good.

Sat in drive thru for 24 minutes waiting to order, 2 cars pulled off, never got to order. Pulled in a parking spot and tried to order online on my phone and order canceled, said there was a problem. Tried to order on my daughter’s phone, same exact thing. 30 minutes wasted and got nothing. PLEASE HIRE COMPETENT WORKERS AND WORK ON YOUR WEBSITE!! Also tried to call repeatedly to place order over the phone, nobody would answer the phone.

The lovely lady running the register welcomed me as soon as I walked in and stated she would be with me shortly. This was a great start because many restaurants now don’t greet or even acknowledge their customers. The food came out quick and was perfect. The restaurant was very clean and while I was there, every time there was no customer at the counter, the lady was out cleaning tables. A+ This I why I love Captain D’s.

Yesterday, I waited in the drive thru for exactly an hour before receiving my order. There were two ahead of me yet to order when I got in line. The food was still good though. I understand that many people go there on Sunday afternoon and also that you are short staffed, but an hour for drive thru still seems a bit much.
