I love Across the Pond My wife and I have been going every 2-3months for the last 4yrs. AtP has raised my sushi standards bar so high that now nothing else compares. Ceviche, ngiri, coffee salmon, and 2-3 rounds of cocktails is our order of choice.

One of my favorite places for sushi and sashimi in Phoenix. Small and intimate with dark lighting, ambience is great and music was good for the most part. The quality of fish is phenomenal, very fresh and tasty. The salmon and Toro are my top picks. Ask about their special! Presentation is simple but on point. Staff is always nice and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. I think the drinks could improve a little. Most were too sweet. Overall, a high quality sushi spot that you can try and go back to.

First the drinks – The “Smoke Show,” a harmonious blend of Mezcal and Chartreuse and the “Calpico Punch” was a true revelation – a milk-punch creation boasting gin’s spirited personality, served straight up with a delightful “punch”. The sushi journey that followed was nothing short of exceptional. Four nigiri selections graced my plate, and among them, the “coffee cured salmon” stood out as a revelation.

Love this place, I’m here basically every other week. Best raw fish quality I’ve found in Phoenix. Its a great date spot as well as a good place to pop in after work for happy hour. It is small, so book in advance if you have a larger party, and it’s on the pricier side, but worth it. The scallop nigiri is my favorite!

Great sushi place for date night or night out with friends. Dimly lit and cozy atmosphere. Fairly big cocktail menu, we got The Enabler and the Salty Pog, both were really strong and good. This place has several fun appetizers and nigiri style sushi. We recommend getting the sushimi sampler, the harachi dish, and the wagyu nigiri. A little pricey but if you go during happy hour you can get a good deal.

The service could have been better. We were never asked how everything was or if we wanted anything else. There were no appetizers on the menu… That was surprising. The bartender who brought our drinks was nice, but the vibe was not welcoming.

I came here for the first time with a friend and we loved the drinks and sushi here. I got the berry white drink and it was so lovely. The service was excellent and the employees were so kind to us. I recommend coming here with friends for good food and drinks! My personal favorite dish was the Butter Lime Salmon! It’s worth it’s price and the taste!!! Please have reservations though!! We were lucky to have the bar area when we just walked in!

Across the pond has the best sushi in phoenix equivalent to sushi Roku and better than Nobu. The lobster sushi roll is the best in phoenix. the cocktails to pair the sushi with are amazing. I would recommend ordering the lobster sushi roll with a nice cocktail. This place is nice and quiet it can get a tad bit busy but nothing to where you need to make a reservation this place is great for a first date or if you just starting to date a person it is a great experience. The music is quite not too overpowering, not good for groups or parties it is great for a one on one experience, or if you just want to take your significant other out for the night. Some things to improve on would be the music allowing it to be more free flowing with a better tracklist that can set the mood better, also it does not show up on google or apple maps directly or yelp for that matter we only found out about the place because of clever koi. Also want to give great credit to the staff they are amazing they know the full menu and have a full understanding of what pairs well with what. The only reason it did not receive a 5 is it does not have the energy and a lively upbeat experience that you would like to see.

If I’m being honest this place has a very great atmosphere, nice for dates. The food isn’t bad it’s pretty decent but I wouldn’t say it’s anything near authentic definitely a lil more gentrified. It’s different but I enjoyed it just nothing too special.
