Had a great meal. Service was attentive and pleasant. The chicken fajitas were large and tasty. The regular and frozen margaritas were also very good. It’s in an old Outback steakhouse, so the layout is the same, but they did a great job on the decor. Everyone liked their food.

Nearly everything on their menu is made from scratch. All the food was lovely but there was a bit too much salt in the salsa for my family’s liking. The flan actually had the bitter taste of coffee like it should. Overall my new favorite Mexican restaurant.

5 stars at lunch time not on Sundays, 4 stars otherwise – I’ll round up for Ballwin/Ellisville’s newest Mexican restaurant! There are a couple other San Jose locations in the wider area, but I was excited to see one coming in right here by where we live. After a couple of visits, I would say the service is excellent, the interior is updated and nice (though if you are focused, you can tell it used to be an Outback), the food is solid, and the portions are generous. I would say the lunch menu during the week and Saturday is pretty killer compared to compatible restaurants, but the normal menu otherwise is a bit pricey for the quality. Hasn’t blown me away overall, but a solid option in an area without a ton of great Mexican food!

The food was excellent. Guacamole, was fresh and delicious. The entrees were beautifully plated and exceptional in taste and originality. We ordered sopapilla and I highly recommend it for a table of four. It was delicious but way too much food.

Always great food and exceptional service! I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s one of my favorites in Saint Louis. Fills up with people so there may be waits, but it is worth it. The food is fantastic and consistent, the margaritas are very good (even the house), and we always look forward to coming here with the family. Victor one of the owners is an amazing individual and very dedicated to his craft of Mexican cuisine.

This place is a step above your everyday Mexican restaurant. Guacamole is better, Pico is better, food, it’s all one step up. If they would trade their thick, heavy chips for some thinner ones, they would really knock it out of the park.
