Honestly I try not to leave bad reviews, but I don’t want anybody else to make my mistake. I’m so very disappointed that I had to waste an entire meal. Everything was cooked in old, rancid oil. I could smell how foul the oil was before I even opened the containers.

I ordered $30 worth of food which is expensive for a college kid. When the food arrived, I had received nothing that I ordered and proceeded to request a refund, providing pictures of the food as proof. I was refused a refund by the unbelievably rude owner who, in the end, threatened to report me to the school for asking for a refund. The owner then began text messaging me from his personal phone number, telling me that the food I had received was more expensive than what I originally ordered. So what? It wasn’t anything that I had ordered. The spring rolls were clearly refried and very old / expired as they had a putrid odor coming from the packaging. And I ordered chow mien / fried rice combo plate and had just received a container with nothing but vegetables. I had originally reached out to the ordering platform to request a refund, Menufy, and they were unable to secure one because the restaurant had to say yes before they could pay out a refund. So at that point I had given up trying to get one from the restaurant itself and instead go a different route. But when the owner began texting me from his personal number, it really crossed the line. I was able to get my refund through disputing this case with paypal, but still. Ordering food from this place was a complete waste of time, money, and my life. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

Don’t let the appearance fool you. This place has amazing food! Like the story goes, the BEST food is in the most unexpected places. I’m not sure what all the negative reviews were about previously. But I suspect it’s from the establishment that was there previously, THEY SUCKED. But I’ve tried every place in Chico this place is the best HANDS DOWN. If you’re looking for something authentic with EXCELLENT flavor, THIS IS IT.

I can’t believe this place is OPEN! It’s like a storage unit/ hot box. And even though the people are polite, what kind of food are they making? You can’t even tell which meat from which in the house noodles. It made me and my partner sick, and we threw away half of our meals….. seriously where is the better business bureau here?? Food safety? Food inspection? Restaurant inspector? Whoever who makes sure a restaurant is up to par should take a look into this place…..
