No bark on the brisket at all, just chewy beef without any kind of seasoning (other than salt) that may have been smoked for a few hours (I seriously doubt it though, more like an hour smoking and then the rest of the time in the oven). The mac and cheese is bland, greasy and doesn’t have any real cheese flavor to it and the cornbread is bone dry. The fries are even too salty. If you want okay BBQ go somewhere else.

If your not from Texas this place will be great. If you are from Texas this is just another BBQ place to add to the list “would not stay in business in Texas”. The biggest complaint I have is the prices are very high for mediocre BBQ. The restaurants was very dirty, dirty tables dirty around the windows and the iced tea dispensers didn’t have lids covering them. If your desperate for BBQ and trapped in Pennsylvania try this place, expect to pay $15-20 a person for below average BBQ in a rough restaurant.

I had a great experience here. I came in for lunch, I got the special. It was a pulled pork sandwich with fries and a drink for $6.99 plus tax. The sauce made it real tasty. The meat seemed like it could have been higher quality. But the manager made sure I was well taken care. He brought over all the sauces and gave a description of each. He even gave me new fries after my first set came out without seasoning. Definitely had that small town mom and pop shop feel to it.

The hush puppies are tasty, the mac&cheese was good, the ribs by themselves were OK (not amazing, but just fine), the corn bread was not very good. The big problem I had is that none of the 6 homemade BBQ sauces they offer taste good. Almost any store-bought BBQ sauce is better (Sweet Baby Ray’s for example). I took home the leftover ribs and used some good BBQ sauce and it really improved the flavor. I don’t think I’ll be returning here.

Texas style like the way I’m used to from back home. Slowed smoked and balanced with seasoning. Variety of BBQ sauces. The service was fast and friendly. The portions were very generous. Just FYI, this style of bbq meat is served dry (without sauce), which is the preferred method from the region they are from – however very flavorful. Love this place!!! I will definitely return with my family soon.

Tried it once. Generous portion of rib meat. Thought the cole slaw was a bit too sour. They charged extra for a small amount of slaw on the sandwich. Baked beans weren’t bad. Will go back, and perhaps try the blackened chicken. The place had no other customers when I was there. Adequate seating area. BYOB. I did take out. Attractive young woman served me promptly.

Although the bell did not ring for my online order, when I went to pick it up, they definitely made it right! They gave us extra hush puppies and various dipping sauces to try. Since this was my first time at Selma’s I always assess whether-or-not I’m going back by the Customer Service, and they exceeded expectation. The catfish was outstanding, and we had more than enough food for two days. Excellent job by the Selma’s team.

Always drove past here and decided to stop in today. I read mixed reviews so I played it safe. The fried catfish is super delicious!! Would def get again. On a side note, the place could use a good cleaning. Everything from the floors to the tables to the drink dispenser is filthy. And then I found something gross in my applesauce. Will be posting pic omg!
