Authentic African Senegalese food in the heart of Detroit. Their FISH (red snapper) is to DIE FOR, literally some of the best fish I have had in the world bc of the spices they use. The onion sauce that comes with side of entree is also phenomenal and will make any food taste amazing. Plus it’s all halal!

The food was good, the lamb shank, red snapper was very good! The atmosphere was so so. There was a smell from bathroom or sewer line that wasn’t good. I would go again.

This authentic African food was awesome, flavorful and with some savory heat in the the rice and and. Chicken. I loved the snapper just not enough of it:). The service was great! While I waited for my order it seemed they had a loyal customer base who were all treated respectfully. The atmosphere needed an update asap. Overall, I plan on going back when I am in the area. Good enough to make an excuse to be in the area.

My friend recommended this place and I also saw a review from an Instagram foodie that I follow. I ordered grilled red snapper and husband grilled half chicken. We are not disappointed!! They were great! The chicken was well seasoned and flavourful. Moist inside and charred outside. The fish also very flavorful. It was grilled to perfection. It comes with sides, and since the both of us craved plantain, we order them with our meal. Overall, you need to try them if you’re in Detroit.

I tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago and ordered names, whole red snapper and deebee. Everything was seasoned really well and tasted delicious. The deebee was a little tough for me, but that’s okay. I’ll get something else next time I come. I wish this place wasn’t so far. I’ll be back!

The restaurant itself is a little rough, and I asked if they had the pork chops, they said they did, but they didn’t. After that discovery, they offered an alternate, cheaper dish as compensation… Luckily, that lamb Beebee is amazing… So I’m not too upset about the five bucks. It’s just money right?

My first time eating African food and I loved everything I had. More so the waitress was awesome helping me and my friend who flew in from FL because he seen a video about them go viral. The hidden gem is the juice they make. The berry mint and ginger juice were easily my favorite. The chicken had so much flavor and was juicy. The portion sizes were very large and even being full I wanted to keep eating because it tasted so good. Loved the fried plantains & both appetizers. A hole in the wall place that packs some serious flavor! Great place!

The food was so yummy. It had a little bit of spice but it was amazing. Reminded me of trips I would take to Dearborn and eat at different western African places! We ate so good! I look forward to coming back!
