This place is a breakfast gem. Traditional breakfast done right. They have really tasty pancakes and waffles. The eggs have a buttery homemade taste. Large portions and good biscuits. Food is fresh to order, so be prepared to wait a bit while it’s made. Attentive staff and good food all around.

Solid 4 stars. 4.5 even. Food was great, as was the local atmosphere. Good service; the waitress even gave me a lemonade to go for the road! Definitely stop in if you’re in Jacksonville.

Traveling through & stopped after reading reviews. Sorry, I didn’t get pics of food, but by the time we got ours, we were starving. The menu says be patient, and that’s true. We weren’t in a rush, so no problem. I had scrambled eggs, biscuits, and grits. Eggs fine, biscuit ok but grits cold & lumpy. Hubby had the same plus waffle in shape of Texas. He would have liked it a bit crisper, but otherwise, he said good. Cute place. Decent breakfast. Lots of locals are eating here.

Man, I love finding a good Mom & Pop Diner, and this place hit the spot. Our server was as sweet as could be and great at her job. The pancakes were cooked perfectly, nice and fluffy with a little crust on the edge.

This place has a great family atmosphere & is very clean. The blueberry pancakes were full of berries, but a bit dry. The biscuit was very good, not hard. Gravy, eggs and hashbrowns were on point. The friendly service is icing on the cake.

The food was great and so was the service. One issue we had is we were over charged. My husband ordered 2 eggs with meat, choice of potatoes or grits and choice of biscuit or toast, he ordered grits and toast with his. We were charged extra for grits. I was charged for a ham and cheese omelet when I ordered 2 eggs no meat with an addition of cheese on my eggs, about a $6.00 over charge, overall. I am sure it was an honest mistake, but we will pay closer attention for what we are charged. We will eat there again.

10/10 would not recommend. Food took an hour, shouldn’t take that long for breakfast. Sausage were just frozen patties, eggs had no flavor. The restaurant had the AC on at the lowest possible setting. Overall, terrible experience.

They serve large portions and have fresh foods. The fries were hand cut and fried to order. If I am ever back in the area I will be eating here again.

Wow. I’ve never had to wait an hour for breakfast. I see the “please have patience “ sign but I didn’t think they were referring to having to wait an hour. Waitresses were nice but i wish we would’ve gone somewhere else. We waited while the restaurant was super cold inside. Not a good experience at all.

I had the “Cow Camp” breakfast. Bell peppers don’t like me so I replaced them with mushrooms. I cleaned the plate! I want to try the cinnamon pancakes next.
