A casual and comfortable place to just grab a drink or make an entire night out of it. Our menu offers a mix of small plates with a few large options meant to be shared amongst friends. We do not take reservations so it is walk-in friendly.
We have redesigned the space to give you a more intimate dining experience. As much as we would love to invite large parties, we just don’t have the room. A lot of these decisions we made with staffing in mind. As we all know, good labor is hard to come by. We are hoping with the menu format, our hours and the layout of the space, we can manage with a small team to provide a memorable dining experience.

As you walk in your transported to a cozy lodge with NYC vibes. When we walked in they were super professional, they greeted you then guided you to your spot. We went for happy hour (they offer a selection of cocktail and wine specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays) while we waited for our friends to arrive. When our friends arrived they seated us immediately, were able to keep our check from the bar active and carried it to our table. The service was great. All of our food came out in shifts. Everything was delicious and the cocktails were fantastic. They were even able to accommodate my lactose allergy-and suggested desserts that were lactose free and also were able to make the coffee cocktail dairy free. Run don’t walk to this place. It was fantastic!

We wanted to support a newly opened local restaurant. Once we arrived, we decided to take in the entire experience. We tried their small plate offerings as well as one main entre. Then, dessert. Let me just say it’s a cozy, warm, and comfortable atmosphere. The menu is concise, artistic, and freshly made in-house. We really appreciated the tasteful ways the chef decided to nuance each dish. We had a lovely night out and enjoyed the efforts of a newly opened local restaurant. By the way, the staff are extremely attentive and provided exceptional service. We decided to enjoy a nice, cozy night out and came back to the Woodshed for dinner. It was delicious and we also met some friends who were there as well. The place was full of people having a good meal and at the bar. Service was exceptional and consistent. The choices we selected were delightful, and we were full… but we still managed to enjoy a slice of homemade pie and ice cream.

We live right down the street and I’m so happy this place opened. As an NYC/ NJ native I’ve been looking for a spot like this. Good atmosphere, great cocktails, good food. I’ll definitely be a frequent flyer. Rip to my wallet. But seriously, the small plates and laid back but underground feel is something tupper and most of the trilakes area is sorely lacking. It’s different and familiar at the same time.

Pleasant evening with family. The owners have done a wonderful job with the decor. Our server was very professional and friendly. We did find out she is the owner, which was a treat. The menu is small, but the food is excellent. We were all pleased with our choices. Watching other servers, you know they are highly trained and courteous. I highly recommend The Woodshed on Park for an evening out and a great relaxing meal.

recently my husband and i were staying in lake placid and drove out to the woodshed to get dinner on a saturday night. everything about this restaurant is absolutely amazing and the whole experience blew me away. this is 1000% worth the drive if you are staying in lake placid and was better BY FAR than anything we had there.

Very good food – we had a simple burger and the trout with chowder. We could have done with a little more choice but the food was well cooked and good quality. Excellent local beer choice. Very friendly staff. It was a bit dark – atmospheric for some but I like to see my food.
