What a lovely new place for downtown Gilbert! The atmosphere was clean, bright and fresh! It took a moment for anyone to notice we were at the hostess desk, but we could have easily sat at the bar. Love that there are multiple sections for seating including the bar, outside patio and indoor seating. Once seated we loved the variety of options for adult beverages as well as coffees. We ordered the steak sandwich and the biscuits and gravy. Both were absolutely fantastic! We enjoyed some mimosas while chowing down on some delicious food. The biscuits were cheddar and herb infused, which was lovely! The only critique I have for a restaurant that’s only been open 3 weeks was that the staff was a bit all over the place. We had one member tell us they’d be our server then another one swooped up and took our order. Eventually we just realized all staff was just helping all areas. So no real critique, just was confused for a small amount of time! Ha! Overall, a wonderful place and will definitely be going back!!

such a fun new spot in downtown gilbert! the atmosphere is beautiful and the food is delicious! everything was wonderful. the only thing we noticed was that the staff didn’t seem particularly friendly or warm. it’s easy for there not to be an established staff culture when a restaurant first opens, but while the staff served us well and met all our needs, they felt a bit cold and stand-offish. again, wonderful experience but a warmer staff (from hostess to servers) would make it just that much more outstanding .

So so so happy this location is open! The food slaps just as hard as the Scottsdale location.

For a place that has a great food menu and a “coffee menu”the coffees are a disappointment. The barista is not prepared to make lattes! I ordered a strawberry matcha latte and there was just hot milk with nesquik (strawberry powder) no matcha at all my son also ordered the mocha iced latte the and it was just a coffee with milk the waiter offered to take them off the check or re-make them but it took 20 plus minutes the first time around! the lattes should be amazing as the location in Scottsdale! The service is slow and the waiters are confused and overwhelmed!

Went to their soft opening and the staff was very welcoming! The place is quite large and also has a patio area! They have a really cute floral wall in the front for group pictures! Glad Gilbert has a new breakfast place! We will definitely come back for their entrees.

My wife and I were excited to try this new breakfast place downtown Gilbert. We tried the campfire and blueberry earl drinks, they were ok. We then tried the brown sugar pop tart, icing was good but lacked filling. She had the biscuits and gravy while I had the duck confit. The gravy really lacked sausage, huge disappointment. My duck looked good but was honestly bland and boring with slightly over cooked eggs. We had high hopes but sadly won’t be back.

So incredibly excited to have a Prep & Pastry closer to home. Have been a frequent patron of the Scottsdale location and this location is just as great. Everything on the menu is delicious.

I stopped in just to see the pastries they had and ended up getting the “prep tart” and it was SO. GOOD. like the pastry itself… the frosting… def exceeded my expectations! Will be going back to try the rest of the pastries

First time ever trying Prep and Pastry. The atmosphere was great. Very nice staff. We got the Biscuits and Gravy with Chicken. And the Simple Breakfast with Bacon. We only take away a star because it was $7.00 for two small chicken tenders and $4.50 extra for two strips of sweet bacon that wasn’t savory.

This place is fantastic. I was a little worried it would be too hipstery, and it kind of is, but the food is awesome. I had the grilled cheese, I added chicken and it comes with tomato bisque. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life. My wife got the duck confuit which was pretty good too (to me, she absolutely loved it). Their blueberry scone is also one of the best scones I’ve ever had in my life. Tastes sort of like fruit loops. The server was also amazing. Is an actual human being that cares about cuisine. Pretty cool to see that in a server. All around very good expereince and we will definitely be coming back.
