This is by far my favorite sit down Mexican restaurant in San Juan Capistrano. Delicious and authentic recipes highlight this cozy, well run restaurant. Whether you prefer a taco, burrito, enchilada, or cheesy Chile Relleno you won’t be disappointed. Flavorful sauces elevate every dish to accompany the well seasoned Spanish rice and refried beans. The food is okay, we’ve been coming for years and prefer the patio for fresh air. Menu is over priced yet convenient so we’ve realized expectations. The staff are friendly and fast, however there’s a waitress that has been there for years who isn’t the most friendly (or helpful) which is interesting and makes it even less appealing. They could definitely use a good deep clean and/or remodel. If you’re looking for cheap, authentic or upscale, there’s plenty of options within walking distance. (That don’t use styrofoam )

I ordered the Chile Colorado plate. It was good and very tasty. The beans and rice were delicious. The service was okay. I noticed a walk up window on the side of the restaurant. I would order from there instead of going inside to sit down.

This place was a great choice for our Mothers Day lunch we had awesome service, we were seated promptly and attended very well by their friendly staff. Not to mention the food was delicious, I had Camarones al mojo de ajo and enjoyed it. Thank you guys for hosting our large party of 13 so well. I always feel a sense of guilt when out dining on special occasions because I know the staff sometimes wishes they could be out doing the same but honestly this staff was beyond kind.

Went in with my daughter tonight about 8 o clock. They wanted to close early so I wasted my time driving here because old boy wanted to start cleaning up early. Update your store hours stay open tell the time it is posted. Will not return. Save your time/ gas money

Walked here after visiting ZooMars. Nice little restaurant with many options. Clean tables. Friendly staff. I left my wallet in the card and they were kind enough to let me use Samsung Pay. Ordered a shrimp tostada that was a big serving. Chips and salsa were complementary which helped satisfy us before our food came. Kids meal had a generous portion. Definately will be back qhen in the area. Highly recommended if you’re craving mexican food.

The best Mexican food I’ve ever had in my life. If you want authentic Mexican food made with love, this is your place. The outdoor patio is super cozy at night with the soft overhead lighting and sounds of The Mission Bells in the background with views of The Mission San Juan Capistrano. My favorite place to relax and enjoy some quality food. The owners are extremely polite and super friendly and can cook like no other. Plenty of vegetarian options as well if you desire. I highly recommend The Huevos Rancheros – I discovered taste buds I didn’t know I had. Also, Breakfast is served 24/7 which is awesome since I prefer breakfast for dinner sometimes. Try it out and experience one of San Juan Capistrano’s local gems
