I decided to give Peking Buffet a chance despite some negative reviews, and I’m happy I did. The place was clean, the food was good, and the staff was friendly and always smiling. Although it seemed a bit empty for its capacity, it meant I could enjoy my meal without any hassle. It’s a traditional buffet experience that I enjoyed. Taking the chance was worth it, and I left feeling satisfied and happy.

This was an incredible restaurant. Especially for a buffet. It seemed that it was run but only a few people and some of the areas were shut down in the restaurant as if they may not be used much. But The buffet was very good and I tried a great many of the dishes. Several of my normal favorites for buffet were definitely spot on. The lady that welcomed us and set us and got our drinks and refilled orders and cashed us out was amazing! She was there at the right times even though she also served several other customers. Really impressed. Also the inside of the restaurant was very decorated. Hope to be able to return on another visit to Galveston.

Like all the other reviewers have said, the place is clean and the staff nice, but the food is questionable. There are some nice and fresh dishes like the general tso chicken and pepper steak, or passable like the lo mein, green beans, and bbq ribs, but the rest is either dry, hard, or old. Honestly they should retire half or more of the dishes. No one eats them and they are the poorest quality or plain inedible. We don’t need weird taco enchilada things and fried fish that look like slices of pizza and are harder than a cement block. Keep it smaller and fresher and keep it actual Chinese fare. I was worried about the staff. It was 5pm on a Saturday with a completely empty parking lot. Maybe five groups showed up in an hour after us. There are at least five employees. Those numbers don’t add up to anything sustainable.

If your ever in Galveston steer 1000miles from this nasty place! Horrible service , very disrespectful, charged us $57 for me , my wife, and lily and they didn’t even eat! I had to choke my food down it was so nasty!!! Jazzy didn’t even touch her plate, lily ate raw chicken! And the lady threatened to call the cops because I accidentally drank out of jazzy’s sprite! Crab Rangoon s were raw dough, general chicken was hard and the cement on the highway! EVERTHING WAS COLD AND THE SUSHI WAS HOT!!!!!!! They honestly don’t even deserve 1

Food would be great if it wasn’t left out under the lamps. Not a lot of people are coming in and I can see why. Sushi was mush and smelt like it had gone bad, food left out was bland and dry, fried foods were fried until they were too krispy and not tasty, but service was good. Workers are kind. There was mold on the hot sauce at the table. Makes me wonder if there’s something going on in storage.

3 stars for the customer service and hospitality however, the food was not worth what we paid. Not only was half of the food options cold but we couldn’t eat any desserts or fruit because of the variety of flies surrounding them; The chicken and (most) seafood options seemed the safest. We paid $107 for 4 adults & 1 Kid. Understandably, for that price, the food does NOT hold up to that. Eat here at your own discretion.

Interesting decor, and the service was good, but the food was very average for a Chinese buffet. I’ve had worse, but I’ve had better that was less than $20 a person, which is what it cost.

I visited this restaurant twice, the first time was great, variety in the food and most importantly everything fresh, we loved the rolls, after that good experience we decided to return with my husband, it was the worst decision we made, you could feel the stale food even the fried foods, the dessert just by smelling it you could understand that it was rotten. My recommendation is that if you want to try this restaurant, go on a weekend as it is busy, they make new food, do not go during the week because you will find the food from the day before.

Worst Chinese buffet I’ve ever been to the board reads $12.99 for adults but fails to mention that that’s the price WITHOUT a drink so with drink $12.99 turned into $17.75 . You could clearly tell that the food had been out for quite a while and the selection was extremely disappointing. The hot and sour soup was really good though but that didn’t make up for the rest of it. They definitely get zero stars from my co-worker and I.
