A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Give Me Grace
I love the concept of the Prototype Captain D’s however the service has become way slower since when they 1st opened… Also, seem like the fish batter or the actual fish has changed as well as the Coleslaw receipe. Glad to see more items are being added to the menu board and that they have milkshakes. There’s room for improvement but not bad at all as I go at least once a week! Hopefully, service will stay accurate and satisfying. As I’m excited to have them in the neighborhood! Keep up the good work!! Thanks

Pretty neat concept of the way that they went here, but unfortunately The way this business is ran just completely puts that all away employees constantly continue to ask over and over what you ordered. Then when you drive up to get your food that’s you had so-and-so like they’re asking you a question. Don’t remember you order extra ice in your drink. You get hardly. Any ice and worst of all they do not upsize any drink and I’m like how does that work? How would you ever get a bigger drink so it’s just aggravating because no explanation of anything. Nothing is explain to you. There are no lemons and this is a dead gum fish restaurant!

I literally just paid almost $14 for a 2 piece catfish dinner. My issue is that the two pieces were so small that they were almost nuggets. On top of that they were cold. My Mac and cheese was also cold. The coleslaw was warm and appeared to be soggy and old. The soda had no fizz. My hushpuppies was the best part of the meal. I predicted they will be out of business in a year or less. You have better options on the same street.

Stopped after work, first time I’d been here. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either. It’s captain D’s yes I know. Grabbed a quick 2 piece with fries, puppies and broccoli. Ask me for my sauce and after I said honey mustard he gave me tartar sauce and vinegar. They were friendly though but it’s was just par for the course

The food was okay, but the service was bad! I waited 10 minutes just to place a order and I was the only 1 in drive through line. Then I get to window and she has a nasty attitude. Didn’t wanna give me napkins sauce for my food. The workers need to take a customer service & anger management class or workshop!!!

Food was horrible and company doesn’t offer refunds onsite. I have yet to be refunded back for $34 worth of food. Now they have new management and they’ve basically stated it’s my lost. The new management cannot handle what an old manager left unsolved. Never will return! They also told me that had to keep the original receipt for their records. So all I have is my bank statement.

Does not listen to the customer when ordering, will take your order and not have what you ask for. They wait until you pay to tell you they are out of menu items! Very slow and a waste of time. Save your time and visit a different location!
