Very nice decor and big servings of great food. I had the rib streak, was special for $20… it was huge. I almost could not finish it. The steak was at least, 6 inches high. The mashed potatoes and veggie side were really great. Full value for your hard earned money.

Mildred’s wasn’t bad for what we got. My partner really wanted ice cream and it’s listed on the wall when you come in but we were told it was “seasonal” and they were sold out.

Nice quaint place to have lunch after shopping at The Vermont Country Store. Staff was extremely nice. Lunch was good. Nice soup and salad combo. It warmed me up on a dreary rainy day. I would go back if I was ever in the area.

This restaurant like it’s connected Vermont Country Store is nothing more than a tourist trap. Don’t get me wrong, the store had a TON of nice things but you will pay top dollar for everything! The atmosphere of the historic house was delightful and charming. The comfort food they serve is just that. Their prices, unlike the store are reasonable or I would have rated our lunch even lower. The server was unknowledgeable of the beverage menu and without learning my preferences tried to “sell” me items I wasn’t interested in. My wife loved her Thanksgiving dinner but my Ruben was so so. The warm strawberry rhubarb pie a la mode with whipped cream was a delightful end to an otherwise ordainary lunch.

Everything you could ask for in a Vermont country restaurant. We loved the atmosphere.

In spite of having a major tourist attraction, Weston is a very small town with a very limited selection of places for lunch. The day we were there, it was either Mildred’s or go hungry. Post-Covid seating at picnic tables under a large tent was quite comfortable. Ordered the ham and cheese on a roll with lettuce and tomato – it came grilled on a light-rye without lettuce and tomato, but it was actually pretty yummy.

A fun place to grab a snack or light meal after shopping at the iconic Vermont Country Store. You can eat inside, outside on one of their picnic tables while under a roomy tent or while sitting on a glider swing with a convenient table for your food. The food choices are varied, well priced and appeal to anyone looking for a snack, lunch or a cold drink. And don’t miss the Wilcox Ice Cream and delicious Maple Creemees! My favorite!

Went on June 14th. Ordered 2 turkey sandwiches with lettuce, tomato and cranberry mayonnaise. Turkey was sparse. Who uses cherry tomatoes cut in half on a sandwich? The roll was cold and dry. Sweet potato fries were good. To expensive for the quality.

The food was awesome and the staff was friendly. I had the grilled cheese with bacon. It was amazing. 🙂

I had the cob dog and she had the Mac and Cheese. The dog lacked taste and really didn’t have much flavor. Only ate half as it was just not cutting it. She ate roughly half too, saying it was average at best. Really both dishes were bland.
